        General Info
        Dr. McGlamery (Mac) D.V.M. graduated from Texas A&M University in 1969 and began practicing veterinary medicine in Georgia while doing post doctoral studies in microbiology and virology at The University of Georgia. He then relocated to Florida and purchased Park Animal Hospital in June 1973 and became one of the founding owners of the Animal Emergency Clinic in St. Petersburg. Dr. Mac finds it extremely fulfilling to help clients and their pets and also enjoys the everyday challenges that arise. In his off time, he enjoys flying his plane, photography, boating and computers. Dr. Mac also has two cats, Jellyfish and Laful in his home, and many house cats at Park Animal Hospital.

        My yellow Lab Sheena got in a fight with my new terrier mix and Sheena's ear was tore up and lots of blood was coming out of her mouth. I called many vets to see who I could take Sheena in for emergency care at 7AM. My normal vet lost power from a storm 9/2/2016. The people at Park Animal Hospital told me to bring Sheena in right away. The staff took care of Sheena until the Doctor got in the office. Dr. M.H. 'Mac' McGlamery Jr. fixed Sheena and I was able to take her home later that day. I cannot say enough about this doctor and his team they helped me through an emotional time when my dog needed treatment and love.

        Overall

        Vet attempted to treat Aural hemotoma with prednisne and grain free food. Surgery estimate was $700 plus. Upon calling our home vet, he would do the surgery it for $100 plus anesthesia if we wanted to go that route, but he is sending meds via mail to treat it for a minimal cost. WARNING, do not let them know you are from out of state.!! We called to cancel our follow up appointment, but they had no record of it. Will NOT use them again.
