My hair has been damaged over the course of my stay in beautiful Seattle, WA. Finding the RIGHT stylist has not come at a cost, I'll tell you that. The breakage had become unbearable! As I looked for a hair stylist in Seattle, one of my co-workers with marvelous hair referred me to Lorie and her hair salon. Lorie is the consummate professional. She reads you like a book! If you're tired, she's lets you rest (after asking and bring you nice warm glass of tea). If you're engaged and up for a chat, she's down for that too. But, she's no chatty cathy (i.e., annoying). Seriously, it's refreshing to have an intelligent, thought-provoking conversation with your stylist! As for my hair, it is in the best health EVER. I've been getting relaxers (straighteners) for 17 years and this is the first time I can honestly say that it is at its healthiest. It is strong, healthy and just fab. What I love about Lorie is the fact that she does't just do a great job, she EDUCATES you on how to maintain your hair and KEEP it in great condition. It's one thing to send me out looking great, but TEACH me how to keep it that way. I'm not sure if she has room for more clients, but I am immensely happy that I got in the door as I wouldn't go anywhere else! I know it's selfish, but oh well! I've got the best stylist in Seattle. Thanks Lorie!

I've been going to Amy's Hair Salon for almost two years and have done the Yuko Hair Straightening system for many years. I thought that was great until Amy suggested the new Zerran Reform System. Zerran Reform is the greatest! It has straightened my hair but still left some body in it, and it looks so natural! With the Yuko system, my hair was so flat for weeks that it felt like if just stuck to my head. With Reform, my hair is just as straight, but a little natural body look and shine. Amy does an excellent job with Reform and I would highly recommend the Reform system over Yuko if you want just a little bounce and body, not totally flat on your head look. Reform uses natural products and is also a permanent hair straightening method, with no slight after smell like you would get from the Yuko method. As a Yuko customer for years, I am now switching to Reform for a more natural straightening, both in look, feel, and shine. I highly recommend Amy's Hair Salon and Reform - both are in a class above others!
I was the unsure, indecisive, traumatized hair freak that every hair dresser must hate. I read a few good reviews online and made an appointment for the next day. I didnt go to Hair By Joey with the 170+ great reviews, crazy prices, and seemed to have complaints about a phone stuck to his ear. I chose Jack's salon, which is only a couple blocks from my house in Lake City with only a few good reviews. That was the best decision I have made all year. Jack gave me the best hair cut I have ever had in my life. My step mom owned a hair salon and did my hair until she retired, since then I have had more than a few bad hair people that sent me out the door with a midlife crisis "school mom" hair cut and color. I wanted bold. Jack gave me bold. I never knew sleek, sexy hair could exist on my head. Now it does.. Plus, it's PINK! I love it. I wish I could post a picture. Jack, you may not be a man of many words, but you are a true pro.. Thank you very much. P.S. My boyfriend loves it.
My daughter, a Nordstrom cosmetic's employee told me about a customer with a great hair style. The customer highly recommended Jack at Caoba Hair Salon. My daughter went to Jack and he did a fabulous cut on her too. I have very thick, curly/wavy, dark brown hair and most stylists are intimidated by it. It's difficult to cut and style and stylists rarely ever want to style it. Most of the time I come out with a frizzy, messy look that I don't like. When I went to Jack for the first time about 6 months ago, he was awesome! I'm very serious. He gave me the best haircut and color I've ever had. I actually have been thinking I don't want anyone else to know about him--my little secret! He knows what he's doing. My latest hightlights are awesome. My first complement was "your hair looks so sexy". oh, and the way he styles it after the cut!!! I don't have to do a thing to it for two days and it looks beautiful. Anyway, Jack is the best! Thank you Jack! LB
I very highly recommend Rajpaul Dhiman of Integra Hair Design to both Seattlelites and visitors to Seattle alike. I've had my hair cut and styled in some of the best hair salons in London, costing 4x as much, but none have ever done such a great job on my hair as when Rajpaul styled my hair. I've never received so many compliments from my friends in London. Whatsmore, Rajpaul is an extremely nice and pleasant guy, and he isn't happy unless you're happy. Most people have their hair cut/styled before they go on a trip. For my next trip over to the USA, I'm waiting until I get there. I've even already booked my next appointment with Rajpaul for the day after I arrive. So go on then people, what are you waiting for? Pick up that phone and book an appointment with Rajpaul. You don't know what you're missing until you do, and you won't be disappointed. You'll be thrilled that you did when you see the end result! I know I was :)
Mr. Jack Gamero--education,skill, intuition and professionalism. I got all these and a shampoo last Friday. It is three days after having this great experience at Jack's salon and I could not be happier. I walked in from the street last Friday morning without an appointment and fortunately he had some time to work with me right then before his next scheduled appointment. He asked about my work, gave me a shampoo, quietly assessed hair growth patterns and texture and proceeded to give me the best style and cut I have had in the last five years. What I did not discuss with Jack at the time was that I had previously worked in his profession for ten years (without the same ability) and appreciate his knowledge and customer service. I know I'll be a regular customer and I hope others will come to Caoba , meet Jack and enjoy the atmosphere and talent.
That's my honest experience. I have been to a lot of salons in Seattle, For example Marco at two union square, Mode, Salon Mazzaroto in Bellevue, Seven Salon, and none of them have done an equal coloring on my hair like Salon Blast. I was in Whole Foods, and the Checkers hair color was so eye catching. I asked her where she had it done, Salon Blast was what she said. that was the third time I had heard that name. I got in to see Tim Wilson. He gave me several option to consider. I just let him do what We booth thought would look best. Now I cann't stop looking in the mirror. It looks so rich, shinny, and beautiful. I recommend this Salon all the way
Skin Spin is fantastic...calming, comfortable, and discrete. Bethany meets you at the door, and her place has a cozy, warm ambiance. I'm a bit of a self-conscience guy, so I really appreciate the privacy Skin Spin provides. So much better than the bustle of a noisy, gabby beauty salon! Bethany is a master aesthetician. My fine pores take a bit of picking and squeezing to clean, but with her mix of soothing music, massage, steam, and product, I hardly notice when she starts working on my face. I always leave feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and totally pampered.
I was in need of a quick cut and my regular stylist was not available for a few days. I happen to live upstairs from "beauty is pain" so thought I would give it a try. I went down stairs and she was happy to make room for me on short notice. She is a very sweet gal and owns her own shop. It was some of the best customer service I have ever received in the beauty industry and she did a great job with my curly hair. Very professional but easy going shop. I suggest if you live in or around the belltown neighborhood to give it a try. Angie
This little salon can't be beat in value. Their prices are phenomenally low - I once got a wash, haircut, dye, highlighting, drying and straightening, for around $60. (Can't say what the price is now, this was in 2010.). Anyway, I recently got a haircut there for about $10, so I know the prices are still reasonable. The ladies are not the most affluent in English. But if you have a picture of what you want, this shouldn't be a problem. I live far from Seattle now, but catch them when I can.
