THIS COMPANY IS A RIPOFF>>>>>AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I cant give them less than 1 star so here I go. I had a new home built by a major builder who has a contract wtih Homesafe Security Systems to do alarm installations. Their service works like any other alarm company from the standpoint that if your alarm goes off, they call, alarm goes off, they call. Pretty industry standard stuff so no qualms there.

The problem began when I was two months late on my bill. They literally called me at my place of employment and spoke to my employee and shared that I was late and harassed me at work. At that point I grew extremely frustrated with this company and told them to cancel my services and send me a final notice of a bill.

I did not have services with this company for over two years and ""cut the lines"" for their alarm in my home. Well two years later I get a letter in the mail saying that they were suing me in court and that I had to pay thousands of dollars for a service that I had not had in years and did not owe the money.

This company's customer is horrible and they are rude and inconsiderate and give no regard for respect for privacy or confidentiality and will harass you anywhere. Then to make it worse when you disconnect / cancel service they will try to charge you a fee Im assuming to complete the term of the contract which is insane. When I did the research online look at what I found here.

Apparently they have been doing this for years. I did not create that site and I have nothing to do with that site above just in case you wondered. Do your research, do not do business with this company and avoid them like the plague. They are HORRIBLE.

Remote Video Cameras

We just upgareded to Fios in the house and added wireless Internet. My friend showed me her iphone and how easy it was to view her cameras in her home through app on her phone.

I called the same company and spoke to Paul and he was able to upgarde our existing security system and include the cameras and a service plan for a good price... it was more than we were spending for our existing security system, but the new system, we can watch the kids and the pets when we are out as well as control the alarm from my phone. Very cool features!

The company really knows their stuff... if you have a smart phone, you need to check it out..

Security System Install-Timely

We were recently broken into and were referred to Homesafe as well as another local company. We went with Homesafe because of the lifetime equipment warranty included into the monthly fees. They are also local and when I visited the office to complete the paperwork, I was amazed at the other things they do. We are also considering using them for installation of a flat screen TV along with our speakers. The technician, Brian, was very helpful and showed us how to operate our security system using our cell phone, If you can ask for him, he comes highly reccomended. Great follow up and even received a call the next day to make sure we were happy...

Efficient Installation

I had a problem on the side and rear of my home and needed to have cameras installed. They gave me several ideas and were able to work within my budget. Cameras were installed without having to make a lot of holes in the walls and worked using my wireless network in the home. Love the technology, especially the app for my blackberry. Go online and look for coupons, they will match competitive pricing. BL

Very neat and responsive!

I had another company give me a quote but failed to return phone calls regarding questions on the installation. Homesafe actually responded to an email over the weekend and from day one, was very responsive to all our requests. We added cameras as well as wireless security and are very satisfied. I would reccomend them highly.

Great Customer Service

I was referred to them from a friend. they came out on a Saturday and installed the system as described. The were neat and very friendly. I had one small problem with a portable keychain remote control and they came right back to fix it, it was the battery, otherwise everything works great! Thanks again Homesafe A+

worst company to do business with ever

first they trick you with the fine print in the contract and then they add more years to your agreement with no notice. Once you try to stop using homesafe they will try to screw you and charge hundreds of dollars to get out of a contract you never agreed to. there are a few more negative things i could write but i dont have time. I have to try and call homesafe again so that i can hopefully be done with them!!

I RECOMMEND This Security Company!!! Mention this to get more equipment for less money!

I have been a customer with Homesafe for about 6 years now. They have always shown me great customer service whether I am calling to change my billing information or calling because I have questions about the system. I especially like the option of having the Internet account that allows me to arm and disarm the system from my cell phone or from my home pc.. I was aware of the agreement I signed because I checked and most companies were offering a 3 or 5 year term. I elected the 5 year term to keep my rate the same. They also subsidized the cost of the system because of the length of the agreement. Make sure you mention this to get more equipment at lesser or no charge!

Beware of this company

We are an active duty Navy family who recently moved due to military orders. We notified Homesafe that we needed to cancel our alarm contract and they emailed us a form which we mailed in to them the very next day. Now they are refusing to cancel our contract and are saying that it ""automatically"" renewed for two more years. When I reminded Nancy of the laws protecting active duty service members, her response was: ""we will come after you when your husband leaves active duty"". This is no way to conduct business and Homesafe should be ashamed. When men and women are protecting our freedoms abroad and putting their lives on the line, which my hsuband has done in Somalia, Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanastan, we owe it to them to protect their interests here at home.

Beware of Five-Year Contract

While the service provided is adequate becareful when signing your contract - they automatically lock you in to a five year committment -- with no way out!!
