After all the hype...a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. As a 50 + year valley resident, I somehow had never made it to Durant's. When a gal in our happy hour group suggested it, I was all in (and excited). I'd heard marvelous things. On the positive side, the greeting you get from staff as you enter through the kitchen is not only entertaining, but a real treat. Those lovely gentlemen made us feel truly welcome. Our waiter not so much. While he tried to fake it, I got the impression he was not at all happy I were not in for one of their $80 steaks. Sorry, dude. The MAIN ISSUE? Both appetizers hubby and I got were SERVED LUKEWARM!! I was pissed right there. Cold food in any restaurant is unacceptable, let alone a place with the reputation (price?) of Durant's. The calamari was not crunchy, more like an uncooked bread coating. And lots of tentacles instead of the expected rings. And their famous beef? We got the well touted Durant's Debris, a supposedly lovely sampling of their fine steak in skewered chunks with a special dipping sauce. Fine steak?!?!? Very little flavor and I had to spit out about 1/4 of it that was just gristle. Dipping sauce was more like fixed up sour cream. I'm still wondering how Durant's (or why) keeps their reputation. Or do the regulars just love their haunt so much that they've come to accept the mediocrity? So sad, but no way does Durant's get a second chance from this group.

The Keg in the Desert Ridge Marketplace has some amazing food. The prices are in the moderate to high range, but the steak is just mouth-watering. …
So over rated! I went twice. One time because of the rumors and a 2nd time to make sure I did not like it. I never went back and I never will.
A customer over many years. This restaurant can have good food. The staff are usually very good. It depends upon who is cooking. You can never tell how they will cook a steak. . It is so inconsistent we have stopped going there at all.
Ok for a chain. Desert Ridge is a disaster to get around in.
Not sure what all the complaints are. I go here on a regular basis and I am always impressed with the service and the food. I would recommend the green Chile potato and any Chicken dish or the Steak here. You can thank me later.
Best shaved prime rib sandwich I've ever had!! And awesome waitresses
First time going to this restaurant and Not good at all. Lady took our order we asked for appetizers and didn't receive what we ordered. Didn't receive my baby's meal was looking for lady and she was no were. When she finally showed up told her every thing that was missing and she just said she was not aware of the appetizer I looked at her like really.... so I told her well cancel the food and appetizers we don't want it anymore. We needed refills and we could find her either. I don't recommend this at all.
This is the worst place to go it took us almost 2 hours to finish our dinner stake was not cooked right food was cold took for ever to get anything because our waitress just ignored us
It was the best steak i ever taste.. The steak was awesome, it was tender from in and out.. It also has delicious sauce and really thick and nice to eat.. The place is also good because of it's good furniture, nice table and chairs.
Wondering what to eat for dinner, so i decided to dine out with my friends.. They suggested to eat at Keg, the place is three blocks away from my friends house and I'm living at Mesa.. It's ok for me to travel about 1 hour for a delicious steak.. Keg never failed me.. The steak was awesome and it was really tasty.
