We eat here often, enjoying the sandwiches, specials, salad bar, service, bread and pies.
I have eaten at North Mountain Grille several times now and have received consistently superb service and food. I am absolutely pleased with the atmosphere, relaxed yet upscale enough to want to hold business meet ups there or just have a nice "non chaotic" environment to enjoy a meal with someone you want to spend time with. Everything I have eaten at North Mountain Grille has been excellent! The staff treats their customers like they were family. It has always been an experience where I want to linger and savor my time spent there.
My daughter and I cane to Native last Saturday and our experience was phenomenal! Dakota rocks! He took care of everything we needed with a smile. My daughter and I left so happy and will definitely look for him again!
After all the hype...a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. As a 50 + year valley resident, I somehow had never made it to Durant's. When a gal in our happy hour group suggested it, I was all in (and excited). I'd heard marvelous things. On the positive side, the greeting you get from staff as you enter through the kitchen is not only entertaining, but a real treat. Those lovely gentlemen made us feel truly welcome. Our waiter not so much. While he tried to fake it, I got the impression he was not at all happy I were not in for one of their $80 steaks. Sorry, dude. The MAIN ISSUE? Both appetizers hubby and I got were SERVED LUKEWARM!! I was pissed right there. Cold food in any restaurant is unacceptable, let alone a place with the reputation (price?) of Durant's. The calamari was not crunchy, more like an uncooked bread coating. And lots of tentacles instead of the expected rings. And their famous beef? We got the well touted Durant's Debris, a supposedly lovely sampling of their fine steak in skewered chunks with a special dipping sauce. Fine steak?!?!? Very little flavor and I had to spit out about 1/4 of it that was just gristle. Dipping sauce was more like fixed up sour cream. I'm still wondering how Durant's (or why) keeps their reputation. Or do the regulars just love their haunt so much that they've come to accept the mediocrity? So sad, but no way does Durant's get a second chance from this group.
The food was prepared well but the serving size was small and the prices were high for the amount of food. The atmosphere was very pleasant and the waiter was very sociable and friendly. Would go again if I felt like overspending.
Our experience at this Applebee's is about what we experience at all of them. Good food and a good price. Comfortable, relaxing family-friendly environment. Our server was cheerful, friendly and helpful.
The king Kong burger was ok, the fries were good, and portion size was for sure XL, but the 15 minutes in the drive thru when I was the only car there was extremely excessive. If you are in the area, and VERY HUNGRY, and have a lot of time I suggest trying it.
While it's considered "fast food", Five Guys will always be at the top of my list for best burger places ever. Huge, juicy, incredibly delicious burgers and top-notch fries, you just can't go wrong! Plus all of the toppings options, it's like you could eat a different gourmet burger every time you visit. If you're in the mood for a seriously good, no fancy frills burger with some incredible fries, go to Five Guys. Oh, and also, the Cajun fries are SUPER awesome.
Seriously, it's hard to compare any other place to Five Guys, because their burgers are so incredibly delicious that it's hard for the competitors to come even close to this level of amazing. The burgers are always so juicy, delicious, wonderful, and did I mention HUGE?? And the fries, oh boy, don't even get me started on the fries. The regular fries are incredible, but the cajun fries? LEGIT.
3 customers for lunch. we spent $37+. I had an $8 off coupon. The waiter said that the coupon could not be used because 2 of us ordered burgers. I have the coupon in front of me and it doesn't say anything about this. I feel cheated.
