I just closed on my new home in Scottsdale AZ and wanted to get my wood floors sanded and refinished before I painted and started moving in. I found Royal Wood Flooring with their amazing and positive online reviews, and figured I'd give them a call. I spoke with Vinny, the owner, on the phone and he told me that he was able to come over the next day to give me an in home estimate. He was on time, professional and courteous. I had about 2,750 sq feet of flooring and the price was right around what he quoted me over the phone. (Came out to be a little less.)I thought he was going to tell me he could come back in a few days, but he was actually able to get started the same week.Vinny sent me a few pictures of the progress throughout the entire refinishing process and kept me up to speed on a few of the areas I was concerned about.I had a ton of questions on how to take care of the floors, how to clean them, if my painter should use tape, how my movers should bring in the furniture. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions!I couldn't be happier with the results. I would recommend Royal Wood Flooring 602-446-2613 We would highly recommend them to our friends, family or to anyone who is looking for a professional company in Phoenix Arizona to restore and refinish their wood floors.Thank YouVerry Sattisfied Customer

PROFESSIONALISM:1. Vinny, with Royal Wood Flooring 602-446-2613 is great, he makes you feel like you're friends/family. You can really tell he cares about his business and understands that he's only successful if his customers are happy. He actually called me from the hospital the morning after his sons where born (day of the Job) to let me know he wouldn't be able to be there in person (his crew showed up on time) but he would be stopping in to make sure everything was going well, that's dedication.------------------WORK:2. The technicians at Royal Wood Flooring show up on time, respect your home and work hard and fast. They are respectful and true pros. -After the 2nd day my wife discovered one board that was mal-formed and sticking up ever so slightly in the middle of the floor. I brought it to the technicians attention and he quickly fixed it even though it meant pulling the trim off again and taking up 50 sqft. of flooring to get to that one goofy board. No groaning, moaning or trying to make excuses, he simply said "No Problem sir, I will fix it" and he did.3. All of the technicians at Royal Wood Flooring are true artist with the precise cuts and detailed work that they do.4. Their work is top notch.-----------------PRICE:5. I got two quotes on our flooring project and Royal Wood Flooring came in roughly $800.00 below the original quote. While that's impressive it's even more impressive when considering we changed the scope of the job by adding 150 sqft. of tile demo and additional flooring installation for Vinny's quote. Some contractors will say you have to pay for quality and they charge top-dollar. I can tell you that you will get top quality work from these guys for a fair medium price.-----------------I couldn't be happier with the results. I would recommend Royal Wood Flooring to anyone who is looking for a professional wood flooring installation company in Phoenix ArizonaThank you.
Great company to work with! The owner, Vinny is trustworthy, knowledgeable and honest. Reasonable prices and excellent work. We gladly recommend this company for all of you in the market for new wood flooring. We love our new wood floors, thanks Vinny !
Spellman is by far the most versatile and competent hardwoods and plywood distributor in the valley. They have the best and most personable customer service, competitive price and fast delivery. I am a very tough procurement professional who demands the best price, quality, delivery and service and do not like to give up on any one of these. Do they meet all my essentials every time? No, none can. But they are one of the companies that meets my requirements most consistently. Can’t ask for more than that!
Vinny at Royal Wood Flooring LLC was a top notch installer. On time and courteous, he provided his estimate quickly and we were able to schedule the install in the next week. Vinny's crew worked hard and got the job done in a timely manner; we are so happy with how our new floors turned out! Thank you so much! We highly recommend this company!
Scott's Custom Flooring ReviewMy condo was torn apart by water damage. My kitchen, hall bathroom, and tile flooring throughout most of the condo was ruined and had to be completely replaced. Entire walls needed to be rebuilt, electrical outlets had to be fixed, my entire tub and shower replaced, the bathroom vanity and kitchen sink reworked, flooring redone, as well as a significant re-plaster and paint job. It was difficult at first finding a contractor who could do the entire job, and do it at a price the insurance company would cover. Fortunately we found Scott's Custom Flooring. Although they only have flooring in their name, their network of subcontractors were able to do the entire scope of what needed to be done. And even better, the price was exactly what was needed. The office staff (Dawn and Remy) were very responsive and easy to work with, and when one of the subcontractors had trouble with part of the job, they quickly brought in someone else that did excellent work in finishing up (thank you Jeff and Mike). The flooring crew was also excellent (Simon, Ben, Carlos, Mario and Joe). The result is I have back my beautiful place. All in working order and I am happy with the results. Thank you Scott's Custom Flooring. Samantha
Horrible experience. It took them over a month to complete the installation of granite kitchen counters. First counters were so poorly installed they had to replace. The replacement counter was badly scratched, there was glue all over the counters and they didn't replace the sink. Took weeks to straighten out. A nightmare!
Great discounts and selection of carpet, tile, laminate, hardwood, stone and vinyl flooring
This contractor was out at my grandmothers house and did some tile work. The tile work was done satisfactorily. HOWEVER the installer did his clean out int the guest bathroom sink. The day after tile install the plumbing backed up and plumber's were called out. They found that grout had blocked the sink drain. The repair required that section of pipe under the foundation be replaced, floor excavated and walls opened up. The problem was reported and PAT THOMPSON came out and met with plumbers to review the problems. This is where they failed to step up and do the right thing.. He was confrontational, arrogant and denied any responsibility for problem. telling the plumbers they don't know what there doing etc. sticking my 80 year old grand mother with a 1100$+ plumbing bill. So don't use these guys, go find someone with some character..
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I’m an experienced woodworker, and am used to dealing with primarily “for the trade” woodworking suppliers. I was in search of several sheets of quality hardwood plywood for a home project. I selected Spellman Hardwoods (Phoenix location) based on the description of their product offering and related services from their website. They appeared to have everything I needed, including the sheet plywood, the ability to cut sheet goods to size, and two sizes of bar rails. What a mistake! I didn’t get past the front counter. This lumberyard had the worst counter service I’ve ever experienced. Examples:-- After I approached the counter, the counterman chose to completely ignore me for a number of (uncomfortable) minutes while he, apparently, had more important tasks with which to deal: Answering the telephone several times (there were several other office staff members present), shuffling paperwork, and giving direction to other office staff.-- I was finally greeted with, “What do you need, boss?” (A simple, and far more courteous “hello, how can I help you” would have been preferred.)-- The counterman then proceeded to explain that, yes, they had sheet plywood, but no they didn’t cut to size (as implied in their website).-- No, they didn’t have bar rails as stated on their website.-- After giving me the price for the plywood ($80+ per 4’ x 8’ sheet, which I believe was very high), he also stated that they only took cash, no credit cards. (The website made no such statement.)My conclusion: If you’re looking for hardwoods and quality customer service, skip Spellman Hardwoods. You’ll only end up aggravated!
