I don't know if the rumor that this is a training store for employees and that's why they seem so clueless all the time is true or not but regardless…Pastries and bread are great but we don't eat those as much anymore. The soups and sandwiches and salads are decent but I wish they had a potato cheese soup like Wildflower Bread Co.
If you want a great sandwich in Phoenix, Sacks: The Art of Sandwicherie is the place to go, There are several locations -- I frequent the shop in the Arcadia District on Indian School Road. There are many designer sandwiches -- I like the Improvisation which features turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce -- think Thanksgiving dinner in the form of a sandwich. They will custom prepare any sandwich that you would like and the portions are generous.
OMG, they have the BEST subs! And I know my subs. Having grown up in Tucson, the Hoagie House was the place for great subs, steak/onion, etc.... Finally, found Jersey Mike's who has fantastic subs!! Jimmy Johns, Firehouse, Jason's Deli, can forget it, Jersey Mike's beats all!!
Best little deli around. Fantastic customer service.
Great subs, meat sliced right in front of you.
100% Angus beef. Not the crap you get at the major burger joints. Awesome alternatives to regular fries. Fresh bread. Real fresh cooked mushrooms. Clean. Caution: hard to find. On the north side of the mall. If you call, they have one phone line. It went straight to voice mail so at first I thought they were out of business.
I have been eating there since the 1990s an will not stop at all my family an I love to eat there . It is a good place to eat an cheap place and good
I walked in and say excited the atmosphere was awesome... Then the place seemed a little unwelcoming to blacks. Then the turkey on sourdough was dry with too much lettuce.
This place is very average, it does not compare to Rudy's BBQ. They do not serve real brisket (sliced) and it grated into little pieces that lack the flavor or Oak smoked BBQ.It's ok for a meal but nothing like real Texas BBQ, IMHO.
