I am in the healthcare industry and work with a lot of different pain doctors. When my partner hurt his back and couldn't get out of pain - Dr. V was the only person I would even consider taking him to. Sure enough - with a selective nerve injection - a 15 minute, non-invasive procedure (non-invasive procedure = no cuts in the skin at all - not to be confused with minimally invasive) he was able to walk out of the office, where he couldn't even get out of bed to use the restroom without tears (and he is a very tough man). Anyway, I wish more people knew he existed bc his training in trauma, cardiothoracic surgery, and anesthesiology are VERY unique. I've never seen anyone with a torn up L4, L5, and S1 recover that quickly. Against the doctors wishes, he was back in the gym a week later - that's how unbelievable this doctor is. So if you didn't know - there are options that don't involve surgery out there that actually work. Also- to comment on the other rating I saw on here with one star - pain clinics get a lot of drug seekers - and if you can't trust an anesthesiologist to identify one - I don't know who can. Plus i don't know who other than a disgruntled employee would write a review like that - I feel sad for anyone that wouldn't go to him. He is literally the best-kept secret for anyone in back or any joint pain and I hope anyone with pain tries seeing him before jumping into surgery!
This doctor is a horrible human being. He absolutely has NO bed side manner. His staff even talks about him behind his back. He is a thief. He charges outrages prices for procedures. Even office visits. If you dare question him about a treatment plan, he gets defensive and will start talking down to you and kick you out. If you even hint at medication he calls you a drug addict or drug seeker. Also, I've seen so many illegal practices in this office. I am reporting him to the medical board. Please save yourself and see a different pain doctor. PLEASE BEWARE!
Terrible! Since this new doctor took over, they prefer not to see patients! I was a patient there for several months but now, I cannot get in to see the doc until I get all new images done, at a cost of over$500. Seeing patients is not a priority to them! Beware of this high class NP! She expects everyone to be high class too! I really get tired of these doctors expecting everyone to pay out hundreds of dollars every month!AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!
Bring a Snickers bar, you're gonna be there a while! As far as pain care......nothing yet, but I remain hopeful!
Great staff, Julie who is one of the staff members has been amazing and very helpful and very professional at her job along with all their staff. I recommend going there because you will be treated as a real patient.
DR Zaveri had very poor bedside manners. did not seem to care, felt like an assembly line with no concern of whether or not it was helping, just pay me $$$. Very expensive also! Would highly not recommend this place! Zero stars from us. Then to top it off sent our bills to collections when we never got a chance to pay them since WE never got billed.
I show up on time I al also the first person see this morning and they are 40 minutes late, and I still haven't been seen.
This practice is ridiculous. I have been a patient of theirs for over 5 years. I have put up with NEVER seeing anyone less than 45 minutes after my appointment time, NEVER seeing a doctor only PA's, switching PA's every 6 months because as soon as you build an actual relationship they move them to another office, been accused of being a junkie, a pill seeker, and a liar. I have finally decided to leave and go to another practice because each PA they make me see has gotten progressively worse and less professional each time. The latest one has told me that I either need to do surgery or nerve ablasion (burning and killing the nerve - not a solution! The body feels pain for a reason!) and if I choose not to do either of those options than they won't prescribe me anymore pain medications because I'm not being serious enough about following their "plan" to get me off meds. I've already been told by 2 spinal surgeons (that they sent me to) that I will need surgery in the future but they understand and respect my decision to put off surgery as long as physically possible because of the risks involved and the 50/50 chance it won't help me but The Pain Center PA's keep telling me I need to do surgery NOW. Now that I am trying to transfer to another pain management practice and I filled out all the proper paperwork for a self discharge and release of medical records to the new practice somehow my records haven't shown up at the new practice for 3 WEEKS! I have called and pleaded with The Pain Center medical records people to fax it again and they said they did but guess what? STILL NOTHING ARRIVED AT THE NEW PRACTICE AND NOW MELISSA IN THE RECORDS DEPARTMENT WON'T EVEN RETURN THE 4 MESSAGES I HAVE LEFT FOR HER THIS WEEK!!!!! I had to go to their new Tempe location and fill out ANOTHER records release form so that I can get MY OWN RECORDS! But they won't give them to me, I have to wait another 7 - 14 business days for them to mail them to me. By the time I get my OWN RECORDS I will be 3 weeks past my refill date and am having to go to the emergency room for pain because The Pain Centers of Arizona have left me stranded and they refuse to answer my messages or even help me at this point. It's gross negligence and abandonment of care and that is the BEST you can expect from the doctors and PA's at this practice. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED. Save yourself the wasted time and the abuse and look elsewhere for pain management.
The staff at the office is very friendly, however only pills were offered to me. No nerve blocks or other treatments, just more pills! No other options were given until after having surgery for the primary cause of pain. I felt as though the Doctor had no true compassion for his patients; if I'm still complaining about the pain not getting any better than look into other solutions so that I don't have to take narcotics mixed with other meds then have to take a nausea pill because not only is the pain making me nauseous, but so are the medications! I thought pain management would involve "actual" care, and if being told that should look into a psychologist then refer me to one! Isn't that one of their services? Or at least help with getting set up with a psychologist. How can a person function daily living while doped up on narcotics? I have a rare bone disease that many doctors still don't know about. What I live with is very painful and at times I can't even function because of the amount of pain I'm in. More options and treatments should have been offered, but they weren't! Their records are incorrect and when medications were brought to them that I had received in emergency that I was so out of it I didn't know that they gave me more narcotics they didn't even update my records stating that the pills were brought in and destroyed. Over all the only good thing was his staff; very compassionate! I believe that if your profession is pain management then that's what you should be doing, not just consistently prescribing more narcotics!
