I sold a property with me doing a carry back. There have been numerous issues with payments and credits to me. I even got letters wanting money back that had already been paid to me because of their mistakes. And it was not the buyers fault! Now it is corp. tax time and I still don't have a 1099 to submit with my return which is due March 15th. I am changing this month to a company that I have dealt with for years and never had a problem with.
I will give 2 stars because they do respond quickly to maintenance requests. However, they have crappy customer service in the accounts department. They charge $25 to open a letter with an HOA warning (no fines)They charged for being late when their system malfunctioned and wouldn't accept payments.Although I have emails where they 'claimed ' to waive fees they never apply these reversals. Despite re-sending THEIR email, they then claim that the cannot honor it.Gotta watch these Thieves closelyIf I rent again, I will walk away from any and all properties managed by this group.
Unprofessional customer service. I was issued a refund check when I closed my mortgage account. The bank account routing number on the bottom of the check was printed into the blue check border making it unreadable for electronic deposit. I asked for them to reissue the check as it was faulty, had to call multiple times. They insisted that I pay a $30 fee to reissue a faulty check that the bank would not accept! 5 months later they reduced the fee to $10 and said its that or nothing. I will never do business with them again!!
Senior loan officer from Scottsdale, AZ fudged the number to get my wife and I approved for our home through the VA fully knowing we did not qualify due to VA's guidelines regarding debt to income ratio. He continued to drag us through the muddy waters until 2 weeks prior to closing and then comes back with a denial with an unreasonable payoff to make the loan get approved.Manager was contacted via email on everything and never received a response back. Buyers beware if you use MTH Mortgage in Scottsdale, AZ to handle your loans or a preferred lender through Meritage homes. Very unprofessional and unethical. Turned over to the BBB for further investigation.
