I have been seen by this pain management for about 5 months, and I am very surprised by the reviews. I have rec'd nothing less than respect from the front office to Dr. Towns, Cynthia, and Tammy. I feel that this team is doing everything they can to help me live with the pain I've had since 2010. When I call I get through right away, the only time I've waited over an hour to be seen was my first visit, otherwise I've been in the room, been seen, and walking out the door within an hour of my appt. I have noticed that some of the patients in the waiting room are very disrespectful, and complaining about everything possible. Maybe some of you should try being nice and not bitching constantly. Just a suggestion. They are working under get stress, and has the FDA breathing down their necks every minute, so as not to be written up and possibly having to close their doors. This is not the only pain management I've been to either, there have been a few and this is a good clinic as far as the employees.

Nearly 4 years of pain management & lots of Rx's for pain that more often than not did not help & always doped me up. Then I moved to Phoenix & took a neighbor there & she said they were good. I call my Queen Creek PC for a referral & was blessed to have my 1st. appt. with Dr. Toure Knighton. At my 1st visit I came with my last pain Rx that was 3 months old & still had pills. I explained I couldn't see taking something that didn't do anything but dope me up. He gave me a Rx that works & doesn't dope me up! At my last visit I again expressed how please I was to have something that works & doesn't dope me up & I told him he was in my will. He smiled.
I do not understand the horrid reviews, I never had a long wait even though the waiting room was full (I come 10-15 'before' my appt.), and except for once (NEVER again will I see rude NP Shawn) always saw my doctor & received the best care I have ever gotten from any pain management office.

I am writing this review for a friend of mine,in fear of she may be treated worse. The service and treatment that she has received from this office is appalling. She has been neglected, her meds have been altered and all for no reason at all. They have taken meds away, they have given her meds she's allergic to, they have given her the wrong meds, and when she has complained they act like she's bothering them. Still has not resolved any of the issues in regards to being given the wrong medications, after calling the office for 3 weeks leaving daily messages. She has had to wait to see the doctor for up to four to five hours at a time, with an appointment!

The nurse practitioner Barbie talks down to all of the patients, talks down to pretty much everybody and refuses to write the prescription that is correct for the patient. Turn away now ,go away,ruuuunnn!!...

Great place...NOT! Dr. Burns recently retired and now this place is going to pieces. The nurse today was in the hallway and talking about a patient right there in the open with another employee, this place doesnt go by standard treating practices, the providers here will treat you like you must bow down to them and if you do not you will not get your meds. Its a joke! Please people do not waste your time do not do your contract with them because its not worth it, they will not make sure you have your meds.

I wish i could give zero stars, but since that is not an option i am giving one star. This place is horrible, your first appointment you will see a doctor he will give you hope that you can have a better quality of life THEN you will eventually see the nurse practioners and once you do (other patients warned me not to be seen by NP barbara, but against their advice i still did) this lady refused to treat me and discharged me from the practice, she said initially that she was not comfortable treating me due to my age then she went on about how she just wasnt going to trrat me so i asked to schedule with someone who would treat me and she stormed out and slammed the door, me and my husband were shocked and appalled at her behavior especially since we waited 2 two and a half hours to be seen, and i have a very serious terminal illness. She then refused to write my meds and stated that it was due to "disrespect" and refused to give any further information. Im shocked and appalled, please avoid this place, if your going to pain management chances are your probably already very sick and you dont need the emotional stress that will be put on you and tour family.

If I could rate this place with ZERO STARS I would. This place promises the world and gives you grief. They have a tendency to schedule 31 - 34 days out with only 30 prescriptions. Then you get in trouble because you have no meds in your urine screen. You only get to see PA's (Pain in the A**) who don't care about you AT ALL. Really?? STAY AWAY....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

If you dont have to DONT

I would not recommend this place to anybody, the front desk ladies are rude and always have attitudes and they are always telling at people over the phone and seem annoid when anyone asks a question. My grandpa's appointment was at 11 and we didn't even get called back till about 12:10 and then we where told that the doctor only had one other patient before us and still didn't get seen for another 45 min. Sun pain managment really needs to fix their procedures and their attitudes. I can't stand bringing my gramps to such an unprofessional and inconsiderate environment.

been dealing with them for the last 3+ years, nothing but a nightmare trying to be seen, get meds on time. cost varies so much, i seem to go without meds more then i get them, and anyone who deals with chronic pain i dont recommend this office. takes forever to be seen, have to go thru history every time i go, meds are a nightmare, if i can't afford to fill on time or they write a script for a weekend i lose days. they go by when i do fill not when i'm supposed to fill so im constantly losing days of medications. COMPLETE HORROR story. Then my bill is always a different amount, and i've been charged several times when i'm not even seen by a provider! UA EVERYTIME you go and billed to you. I wont be going back now that I have my insurance again. Providers are complete idiots that have no idea what its like to be on pain meds.
