Saban's Rent A Car

Worst experience with car rental, not only do they mislead you but they are dishonest with their customers, my weekly rate was supposed to be $189 wk and was charged $337 with all kinds of fees including gas when I returned it with more than what I received it with. The first car made a loud noise so I returned it and they gave me an even worse car dirty and leaked oil everywhere, they take advantages of your vulnerability and needs, will never go back rather ride the bus
I call today 09012015 to ask about Liability Insurance since one of there vehicle had an accident and general manager at 602 904 3490 told me to go Fu** my self and more but I guess this rental company don't care about customer service... I will not use ore recommended this company at all
DO NOT rent from this place. All they do is lie to the renter. Was told $129 flat rate for a week rental. When I went to pay there was 2 extra charges that I was not informed of. Did not get the vehicle I was promised. Their cars are old with high milage, NOT dependable at all. Was told I would get a FREE shuttle to and from the airport, and once again when I received my bill was charged an extra fee.
They claim it is cheaper to rent from them as opposed to the airport due to less taxes, the final bill showed a tax fee of 19.9%, same as the airport..........
STAY AWAY, worst rental place ever...............
DANGER! DANGER! DANGER!
If you bother even a bit about your money, time and effort, please do not get a car from this place. I got the car for a week, a old Chevrolet Lumina and I am beating myself to have not read the reviews! On the last day, the engine broke down and I was held responsible for it. They got $450 i the beginning and another 400 after the car had to be towed away on the freeway on the last day! They are highly unprofessional, rude, arrogant, morons who should be sued right away! They literally intimidate you when talking on the phone and use your credit card very dishonestly.
If possible, people should really get together and sue this company to make sure such vagabonds are thrown out of business! I comprehended calling the police for such a fraud business that they are running, but unfortunately i don't have the bandwidth of getting into all that at this point of time.
Hopefully, reading this post will save someone from doing business with them and avoid going through the trauma and inconvenience I and many others had to go through.
In a nutshell, if you see their name anywhere, anytime - Run Away!!
Warning! Never rent a car from this place (30th street and Mcdowell)! The car was a piece of junk! I was quoted a fair price at check in. Then there was all kinds of undisclosed hidden fees at the check out a few days later. I had a bad feeling about this place and I should have followed my gut instinct. This place will rip you off and SLAM the door in your face. Never never go to this place unless you like getting bent over! I wish that I would have read all of the other negative reviews before renting from these scammers.
Bewared. They quoted us a good price, but didn't tell us about the extras - shuttle fee from airport, cost for extra driver, service and cleaning, drop off. We added the extra driver because we thought we were told there was no extra cost. Apparently not according to their video surveilance camera. When we called to question, they pointed to where these extra charges were registered on the contract - in very difficult to read writing. They ended the conversation with, "We deal with written contracts, not verbal ones." They have themselves covered, but it's not an operation you can trust.

IF YOU ARE EVER IN THE PHOENIX, AZ AREA PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF SABAN'S CAR RENTAL aka PHOENIX CAR RENTAL AND A A ABLE'S PHOENIX CAR RENTAL. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. The experience was something you see in a bad B movie. I was quoted a ""Flat"" rate of $549/week for a van rental. After my family arrived at the airport we called to get picked up and they sent a vehicle that could not fit all of us. So I had to leave my family at the airport, sign the fake contract ( that appeared to be written by a toddler ) that only showed the $549 rate, then go back to the airport to pick up my family. The van was in horrible condition and felt like it was going to fall apart. I dropped it off on a Saturday and was told that the total charge would not be available until Monday and I needed to contact the ""Accounting"" department. I called Monday to speak with ""Accounting"" and they told me the charge would be $867. They added fees for shuttle service to and from the airport, additional drivers, full coverage insurance, 19.55 % tax and so many other surcharges it would make your head spin. NONE OF THESE EXTRA FEES WERE DISCLOSED AT ANY POINT! I will warn as many people I can about this place and hope they get shut down. Hopefully a class action suit will be filed against them soon.

DO NOT SIGN HIS CONTRACT BECAUSE YOU ARE LEGALLY BOUND BY IT!
DO NOT SIGN THE BLANK CREDIT CARD SLIP THEY PUT IN FRONT OF YOU!
DO NOT EVEN WALK IN THE DOOR!
The contract requires you to pay the full amount of the rental even if you return early. They count on the fact that no one reads the fine print on the back of the contract. People assume it is a standard car rental contract like all the others and it is NOT.
I thought the bouncers at the door were to keep the riff-raff out, but I now believe they are to manage disgruntled customers.

The experience was bazaar the place is a scam do not do business with them. I am pressing charges and taking them to court, reporting them to the better business bureau. They authorized payment out off my account before I returned my vehicle and they charged me more than they quoted. When I questioned the man behind the counter... he became nasty , abusive and violent . I was afraid for my life I left called the police and closed my account down. please do not do any bossiness with them!

VERY RUDE AND DISHONEST!! Online we saw a rental price for $129. We called and total price was, indeed, $129. We asked the person at desk, just to be sure and the price was $129, with some taxes and with an additional $170 deposit. We were assured this was just to make sure car came back in same condition on time. We explicitly asked if $170 additional would be refunded and were assured that it would be. Car was in extremely poor condition (the backseat was actually at a 45 degree angle) but we didn't care, it drove fine. We returned it 1/2 hr early in order to rent it again for another week and they gave us a much higher price (online quote was still $129) so we decided not to rent again. My husband wanted to take me home (5min away) so I wouldn't have to walk our dogs on the hot concrete...but they would not let him. They would not refund security deposit even though we returned car in same condition with the same amount of gas. Very rude and dishonest!

Why didn't I check reviews first. I am a very frequent traveller and use rental cars often. I waited too long this time and tried Saban's. Absolutely horrible. Car had 122,000 miles on it and steering vibrated badly. On drive back from Tucson I found water leaking and stopped before leaving at a car repair. They said don't drive it as it had a leak and may break down on the way. I called Saban's and they called me a liar and said I would be charged for abandoning the car if I didn't drive it back. I got it back, almost missed my flight with delays checking the water, and they charged my card an additional $150.00. I can't get anyone on the phone to reconcile this. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY.

Wow. I went in, despite the negative reviews because any business can get negative reviews. I was truly hoping these negatives were all from uneducated people who just don't understand the world. Because my credit is bad, and my car needs a new engine, I was in a corner and took a leap of faith. I rented a weekly car for $129. I didn't have my insurance card on me, so I had my insurance fax them the proof. I put a $300 deposit down and told them that I may need to extend it another week. He said no problem. I asked if I'd need an additional deposit, and he said no. So, I called to get it extended, and they couldn't find my paperwork the first time, and he said he'd call me back when he found it. He didn't. I called back the next day, and they had the paperwork, and I successfully extended it another week. I just looked at my bank account, and they charged $245.85. Luckily I just got paid. So I called to find out what this was, and the man I spoke to was aggressive, defensive, and a complete feminine cleansing product. I work in customer service, and I would rate his skills on a scale of 1-10 at a negative 10. I hadn't even gotten my question out to him, and he was claiming I was telling him untruths. He basically said that the counter person I spoke to never told me the things I said he said.
Now, as far as the car is concerned, it runs great. It's super comfortable, and it gets good gas mileage. The CD player is functional and clean, and all the little pieces work with the minor exception of the side mirror which needs to be adjusted from outside the car, because the internal mechanism is broken (very minor issue). The 1 star is simply for the really unprofessional billing practices and the mindblowingly horrible customer service.

I am a travel nurse, not a schill and I had a good experience with Saban.....they may not be all talkative Yak yak yak like some people want,,,but they were all about business. I rented form them 3 different times. Took my truck to the desert and beat the crap out of it,,,they didnt bat an eye.
Enterprise was freaking out about some little Palo Verde rub marks on the last truck i rented from them,,,,,,they come off as soon as you wash it, but they were trying to charge me for a paint job!
I told Sabans right up front i was going off road and they said just take some fix a flat in case i got a flat way out there,,,lol
So i think most people are having culture shock with them.... i am a very talkie talkie person and had to realize they are not....
I got a great price for weekend and monthly rental.
Just see for yourself.

Recently rented a car from Phoenix Car Rental also listed as A-Able Car Rental and Saban's Car Rental. They advertise no airport tax. We were never informed that all of the cars are used, and I mean used. They are very dirty.and in need of service. We returned the 1st car the following day because the tire went flat. The message on the dash said to check tire pressure. The 2nd car was hail damaged and had 4 different tires. The rim on one did not line up with the valve stem so a hole was punched in the rim to accomodate the valve. The message on the dash screen said oil change required soon. My advise is to pay the airport tax. Do not rent from this shady outfit. My rating is a -2 but there was not a catagory for negative.
