This place was awesome, Saw them on Diners drive ins and dives so figured we would give it a go. But the fusion between the chinese and mexican was spot on. My entire family enjoyed it even the little ones. Can't wait to go back!

The best food - Asian fusion ... with Mexican?

This is the strangest sounding concept I've heard in a while... but whoa do they pull it out!
I was very skeptical, and now am a convert. The food is exceptional, tried the pulled pork with fried rice and black beans, and a emerald chicken enchilada. Amazing!

EVerything I've tried has been good. Just ""WOW""

Can you enjoy a restaurant that has Mexican, Chinese and Jamican food! They make your favorite meats in a rice bowl or burrito or quesadilla! Black or refried beans, and many different fried rices.

To top it off...a big cookie usually a SnickerDoodle

Evie and Frank (the owners) are the best!

Amazingly Unique Food now in Chandler too!!!

I used to eat at the original location on 19th ave regularly, but when I stopped dating a guy in that neighborhood--I didn?t take the time to drive all that way. About a year ago the second location in Chandler opened and I have to jump for joy. After a long hiatus I visited Chino Bandido again the other day and it was every bit as wonderful as I recalled. My mouth was in heaven. I took my hubby and our son along with 2 of his teen friends. I was a little worried that the boys would not be willing to try it, but the lady behind the counter (the owner I believe) was so happy and chatty that they found themselves putting samples of food in their mouths that they would NEVER have tried for me. It is great that Chino Bandido still offers samples before you decide what you want--a unique and fabulous marketing angle. Every one of the boys had a 2-item ""combo"" and each tried something different. When our order arrived, they handed around pieces of quesadilla for every to share. It was like a buffet at our own table. If you haven?t been there, I will let you know that everything on the menu comes as an entree with rice on the side OR as a burrito or quesadilla. It's an amazing fusion of Asian and Mexican foods. I always have the Jade Red Chicken with something to go with it. Jade Red is my favorite, but I always add something extra on the side. It's also always enough to bring home I can eat twice and my mouth can be happy 2 days in a row. The Chandler location is really handy to the 101 and now that we know how easy it is to get to--we'll be going again, and I am sure that the teen boys will be back on their own too. Try the jade red bowl on Jerked Fried Rice--trust me...

One of a kind!

If you have never experienced Chino Bandido you must give it a try! Only here can you combine black beans with teriyaki chicken and carnitas. A few of my favorites are the black beans and emarald chicken. The atmosphere is quirky but it has been a long time favorite of many. Service is fast and the portions are very filling and affordable. There is also a second location in Chandler.

Definitely unique

Fancy it ain't. Great food and quirky service it is. It's a long time favorite. If you've never been there, tell them, and they'll let you sample the food. Like it hot - try the Poco Diablo, with Jerk Fried Rice and the black beans. Not into spicy - try the Chinese BBQ Pork, and wrap it in a quesadilla.
