        I am a Basha's market fan. Why? you might ask? Basha's is local, starting in the area in the 1930's. I like their bakery and product selection. Mozt of all I like Basha's compassion for employees and community.

        Other Phoenix grocery stores are owned by multi national conglomerates or venture capital firms whose #1 is take care of the owners, be it my 401k or the handful of owners with cash trucks.

        I know that every year Basha's will do its part on Turkey Tuesday to assemble Thanksgiving for people less fortunate than I. I know Basha's works hard to keep every employee rather than hunting zero tolerance excuses to let people go.

        I want local ownership, I eat groceries, compassion makes us human instead of advanced apes.

        I shop Basha's.
