        Without philosophy, Martial Arts would be little more than street fighting. At Arizona Family Karate we teach and emphasize a series of basic life skills that challenge our students throughout not only their Martial Arts training but also their everyday lives. Our Tiny Tiger (age 3 & 4), Little Ninja (age 5 & 6) and Youth Class (age 7 - 12) students are taught to be respectful and polite towards their parents, siblings, teachers and elders. They are also taught the importance of learning and doing their best in school. Our Teenage and Adult students are taught to set achievable goals and that hard work does have its rewards. Through the Martial Arts they become more confident and develop an attitude of self-reliance. This increase in confidence enables them to better cope with issues of peer pressure and helps them make correct choices.

        We offer family, youth, and adult classes in Shotokan Karate. We take students as young as 3 to 93, to help develop self discipline in the martial arts and life long leadership skills. Students see visible progress as they earn the skills and tips needed for each belt promotion. Our students range from beginning white belt all the way to 2nd Degree Black Belt.We also have a thriving Zumba training class that is fun and upbeat.

        Great teachers and a great value. My 2 kids have been students hear for 3 1/2 years and have learned a lot, and not just in martial arts skills. They have learned how to set and achieve a goal, their focus and manners hae improved, and they have devoloped respect for both themselves and others. The family discounts are amazing, so much so that my husband and I both started taking classes.as well. I highly recommend Arizona Karate Academy to anyone.

        My son started at Arizona Family Karate when he was 3 and was there until we moved out of state age 6.. The instructors here are all very good with all the kids. They are all willing to go out of their way to help you and you child with anything needed.

        My son, Paul, has gone to this school for many years and is a 2nd degree brown belt. This school, its owners and instructors are the most caring individuals in this world. Paul is handicapped and they treated him with the dignity he deserved. They gave him strength, determination and courage to achieve his goals regardless of his abilities. They are highly recommended.
