I love saving money on feed for my chickens while getting a quality product. Soy/corn free organic for my girls. It only comes in mash. Prepay for your order and pick up in Phoenix. It was super easy. Bags are a bit heavy 50 lbs each so if you cannot lift that bring someone who can. I will be ordering again!

I am so glad I came upon this Organic Chicken Feed Buyers' Group. They offer significantly lower prices on USDA certified organic chicken feed. (August 2012 comparison below) Local Tempe Feed Store offers:- 40lbs of organic feed for $32.00 - $0.80 per lbOrganic Chicken Feed Buyers' Group offers:- 50lbs of organic feed for $22.65- $0.45 per lbThat is nearly half price! That doesn't seem possible to me when I break it down like this, but the numbers say it all. DOWNSIDES:1. The group only offers mash feeds instead of the more popular pellets or crumble. 2. As a buyer you have to pick up the feed when it is delivered. There is no one to help load 50lb bags when picking up because it is not a business with a storefront. 3. The group only orders once every two months, so it can be a little inconvenient if you run out of feedSince I save over $100 per month on chicken feed because of this group, I am ecstatic!!! I believe the feed quality is superior because when i switched over from non-organic feed, my hens' egg production increased by nearly 40% two weeks later. I am told that only happens when you move from conventional feed to organic, but I was still surprised. The group is public and anyone can be a part of it, since the orders have to be prepaid. There are something like 20 different types of feed available (non-soy) etc., but the minimum order is only one 50lb bag.
