We went to the Persian Garden Cafe early (before 6pm) and the restaurant was empty except for 1 family dining there. We were greeted and seated by a very polite and cordial gentleman (who turned out to be the owner) to our tables. The decor and atmosphere was very warm even though the restaurant was nearly empty. He helped us order some dishes, suggesting some entrees as this was our first time to his restaurant. While our order was being prepared, they brought out fresh fruits and vegetables for us to munch on - a great idea when you have children in the group. The fruits were very fresh! Our main dishes were brought out and while I am familiar with Persian food, this had a different style to it. It felt more fresh and more on a fusion side. They use organic meats and vegetables. I guess that explains the higher than usual price tags on the menu:) All the dishes were delicious, though the lamb kofta kebabs were too smelly for me. I really enjoyed the brown rice pilaf and the herb and chicken stew...mmmm. We were served freshly baked wheat naan with our entrees. All in all a very enjoyable evening. The owner/chef has pride in what he serves and creates...and it shows through. Thank you!

This place is definitely that hole in the wall that needs more attention. The food is amazing. And the prices aren't too bad, but when it comes to seafood, its always a little more spendy than most places. The sushi always tastes fresh and the staff is always friendly and very helpful. The happy hour is something that I think is very suprising. The prices are amazingly cheap. There is sushi, appetizers, and drinks on the HH menu. They also have a large variety of kitchen food for all of those who aren't a fan of sushi. very delicious as well. The seafood udon is amazingg!!! All in all, its definitely a place to try, and a place to get to know.
We just paid our first visit to this hip local establishment new to Phoenix Uptown. True and honest food from scratch, with bright, fresh, flavors like mint, lime, and cilantro. Hand made tortillas and wood grilled meat make the tacos exceptionally good. Drinks are creative and delicious; go for a prickly pear margarita ! We had a short wait for a table, since the word must be out ! Pay a visit soon and expect to be impressed by the food, original artwork, ambiance, decor, friendly service and open kitchen. Breakfast menu served all day and Happy Hour with food and drink specials from 2-6 PM daily.
I have seen this place plenty of times so I finally went in, first thing I noticed was it was fairly busy which is a good sign. I was then welcomed in and told to sit where I please! I sit down and am greeted nicely. Then when I look at the menu i notice how cheap things are! When my food comes out it has plenty on it and it is absolutely delicious! I will most definitely be coming backcontinue to go restaurant
Italian quiche - The very best! Pumpkin muffins - unparalleled. Smokey Joe - generous serving of tasty turkey. Lattes - Perfect. Drip Coffee - Full-bodied/great aroma Great restaurant in an interesting old home with "thatched" rolling green shingle roof. Splendid counter service.
Tried this for the first time, great atmosphere and really great food. Went there with several friends and after tasting the different dishes no one was disappointed. I had shrimp tacos they were incredible. I would recommend trying this place. I am telling all my friends about it!
It looks like people are panic buying for burgers and sandwiches, because the place is always crowded. One of my favorite burger is the Panini Grilled Cheese Sandwich, it was awesome the melted cheese with demi-baguette its really taste good.
I have not been to this PARTICULAR La Casitas, but in the 1960's. the one on Central and Buckeye was THE BEST Mexican food that I have EVER put into my mouth !!!!! I will give them four stars in memory of MY La Casitas.
I rarely go to this location, but I love how each spot has their own energetic flare of workers. Most importantly the coffee is always good across the board. Love MY DB! #Phoenix #ShopLocalBrands #GoLocal
Small quaint restaurant. The owner is always there and very involved with the service to make sure your experience is everything you expect!! Very healthy and good portion sizes! Will definitely return!!!
