Moshannon Valley Correctional Facility houses more than 1,300 low-security adult federal male offenders. It offers a variety of computer training and adult basic education programs, as well as GED preparation classes for inmates. The facility administers the English as a Second Language (ESL) program. Moshannon Valley Correctional Facility provides substance abuse and addiction counseling services for inmates. It conducts life skills training classes in the areas of budgeting, banking, personal hygiene, victim awareness, and anger and stress management. The facility offers a range of employment assistance services related to resume writing, interview techniques and job search strategies. Moshannon Valley Correctional Facility also provides dining, laundry, dental and medical services, as well as recreational and physical activity opportunities. It is operated by Cornell Companies, which is a publicly traded organization that specializes in the fields of education, rehabilitation and treatment for adults and youths.
