Established in 1887, Hope Fire Company No. 2 is a fire-prevention organization. Its fire and rescue equipment includes a seagrave pumper, GMC tanker, chevy brush truck and Chevy blazer utility vehicle. The organization employs a staff of more than 45 active and reserved fire fighters and respondents. Hope Fire Company No. 2 s fleet is stocked with road flares, caution tapes and carbon monoxide monitors. Its vehicles also house ventilation saws, saw blades, fuel cans, spare parts, fire extinguishers, portable lighting equipment and electrical adapters. The organization receives messages related to fire, medical emergencies and crime through phone lines.
