as a single father of a 7 year old i was faced with a child who ran with a gang in school, bullying and hurting other children and destroying property, the police, judicial system and DHS social workers were involved, i figured martial arts will be too dangerous for him then a friend of mine came to me and explained the discipline involved, this gave me hope and a tkd class started at our rec. he was the first student enrolled and came back to get honor role that year and every year after, my son Billy is now 11 years old, they are more then a business Red Tiger TKD organization is more of a family, i thank each and every one involved in this organization, i highly recommend them for troubled children and self defense,

Don't join this gym if you are looking to do a good abs work out because the most basic standard piece of equipment for a good abs workout -- an inverted sit up board is not available. I've been a member for a year and i know several members have requested a slant board but the management clearly doesn't care. Its a clean gym, well priced, but I've been a member of many gyms around town, both pricey and cheap and never has the gym lacked this basic piece of equipment and given that members are requesting it -- and its a cheap basic item to add - I've not seen a gym that is so unresponsive!
Daddis is an inviting atmosphere, especially for females. I am a 23 year old female and was very nervous about joining a gym that would be very physically intense. But the thing about Daddis is that they believe in progress at your own pace. "They live by the saying, a black belt is a white belt that never gave up." The staff knows you by name and greets you upon entering, giving it a supportive atmosphere. They offer beginner/fundamental classes which are logical steps before moving to more advanced classes with combinations and sparring.
I never belonged to a gym before joining here and I'm very happy with my decision to join. Staff and other members are outgoing and went out of their way to help me feel welcome. I never have to wait for the equipment I want to use and locker rooms are warm and clean. If you're on the fence about whether you'd get your money's worth for your membership, they have month-to-month memberships. All in all: so far, so good.
Great workout for all fitness levels. Jerry Washington is knowledgeable, fun and provides more than just fitness training. Daily emails, nutrition advice and events make Valley Forge Fitness and the General Fitness Training program a community. At 49, I'm fighting to stay fit but with our boot camp family, I am motivated and working harder everyday!
This past weekend I decided to start working out and decided to go to the gym my husband goes to, which is body challenge fitness center. Everything I got out of this gym was what i was looking for. The prices are low, the atomosphere is upbeat, they even have a ladies gym! I am very excited to start their aerobics classes!
This was a great place until I witnessed one employee, a fairly large male, lose it and scream in the face of another employee, a petite woman who was less than half his size. If they are going to treat each other this was, I do not want to know how they would treat strangers.
Always enjoy going to the Plaza Heath Club. It is private and unique right in my neighborhood. It is peaceful and very clam there. I feel comfortable and at home when I come to the Plaza Health Club. Peace and Love:
This is by far the nicest gym in Philadelphia! It IS truly a "Resort Fitness Club" Staff is great, friendly, and knowledgable! They have a live DJ spinning great music too.
People say that I'm a gym rat. But the truth of the matter is that I only take care of my health for a better lifestyle. That's what I have learned from this gym.
