Please Please please do not donate your time or money to this corporation. Specifically their education division. They are suppose to provide tutoring and after school care as well as summer camp. Congresso is a community staple in the hispanic urban neighborhood of north philly and are very well known to provide the community with eductional resources and work support but lately they have been lacking to do so , well. As a teacher I have seen their employees of the after school program and summer camp leave children unsupervised and not help them with homework or academics. Employees are on their cell phones while students are vandalizing teachers personal property that they have purchased. They vandalize the beautiful classroom that are lent to them to use by the school that your children are taught in during the day. Not taking any responsibility for their lack of supervision , responsibility and classroom management. I have been a victim of their classroom vandalism . As a professional teacher who has worked in the same building as this corporation I strongly advise that you do NOT use their services for your child. You will be left very disappointed and your child possibly hurt and definitely uneducated. They need to work on their hiring process for these programs. The director is horrible and the employees are not trained. They need to be shut down before a child is hurt.

This American Legion Post appears to have a closed membership. It is open for American Legion Members but not for joining unless invited it would seem. Has a Bar and available for after-hours Mon-Sun
They reimburse way less than all other agencies. They give you children with severe disabilities but pretend they don't have any disabilities so that they can cheat you out of getting paid a bigger reimbursement. They also make you keep children way longer than you agreed to. Which could really mess you up if you had to go to work or had plans. Lastly, no one told me that these children had aids which I think is very important to know.
The Philadelphia VA Regional Office Management has been found guilty of Discrimination against a combat veteran employee. I would not recommend this office to veterans or anyone for that matter. Moving is a much better choice than to work with this office.
Like so many things in The Philly community this telephone number is not working! no forwarding number either! New in from Los Angeles trying to find info on the community--
