This is a take out place only but it also serves the local neighborhood as a "corner store". I spent years working at a bar that exclusively ate at steak em up. They even brought us tshirts to wear because we brought so much business. They have the most amazing breakfast pizza I have ever had. They char the crust and cheese perfectly and the American cheese almost turns sauce like under the scrambled eggs and whatever other toppings you enjoy (my favs are tomato and bacon). They make amazing chicken strips and even the bbq sauce they use is specific to them. I also think they make a better cheese steak then pats or genos---mmm their veggie sandwich is to die for to!! . The only reason I give them a 4 star is because I think they should really aim for an eat in location and sometimes when I call the south philly girls can be a little bit smart -assy/ Sassy LOL. Also , because of increased popularity they can take an hour and 15min + sometimes to fullfill an order. I do love steak em up though and I highly suggest giving them a try!
one of if not the best cheese steak in philly if only there was consistency I feel some days they can make a great steak and some days it seems like they slop it on there and they all do it because I eat here alot
This place completely rules. I mean I'm not one to turn down any steak, but this has been my favorite for years.
Nice atmosphere good food close to home
the best tasting cheese steaks I've had in Philly by far..
Good reviews from the owner do NOT count! Steve's steaks taste like poop steaks. Steve's store is extremely filthy, their prices are unbelievably high, their service is shockingly rude, and their so-called steak is very gristly and tastes like rotting liver. Steve's survives only because of their plethora of obviously fake, owner-written reviews that are posted all over the Web. The only thing that I like about Steve's is their melted American cheese. Everything else sucks!
Disgusting food! Avoid this garbage dump!

I was in New Jersey on business yesterday and on the way back, I decided to stop by my favorite steak shop. ( Pagano’s Steaks & Hoagies), they are the best. I have traveled around the country for years, and have tried others but no one compares or can compete with the Big P. The portion they give you will feed you twice over. The staff in the best and the food is outstanding. Love you guy’s
