HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!- My Fiance took his tux for our wedding here to get cleaned and they destroyed it. After trying to fix it 3 times, we went to speak with the owner, who laughed in our faces and refused to take fault or make right of the situation. He showed such disrespect, even when he saw that I was getting upset with our wedding is less than 3 weeks away and we now have to buy a new tux. Do not give this man business- he does not care about his customers and will do nothing if they ruin your clothes.
I've been taking my clothes to this cleaners for a while. Periodically I would find my suits to have a buckled hem either on the skirts or on the jackets. I let it go. Today my husband went to pick up our clothes from the cleaners and the owner stated that there was a rip in the jacket. I told him to leave it there because I wanted to pick it up. I went there and the owner showed me the rip. I told her that my jacket was not ripped when I bought it in here. Mind you she always look over the items before taking possession of them. There was no mention of a rip. She then further insults me by calling me crazy when I stated that she needed to pay for my suit. I will be making complaints against this establishment and I will not be a returning customer!!
Steve is not only one the best tailors in Philadelphia he is accessible at his store in Old City and personable. He caters a lot to in town clients meaning he will work with you on your timelines. He has tailored my shirt sleeves (not a simple task for the shirts I bring him), slacks with more than a simple hem, suits and my wife's dresses. However, if you are looking for some cheap joint that will just churn out a hem on one part of pants for you, he is not the place. His charge is commensurate with his experience and skills. He is a man of his word. These days that is saying a lot.
Not happy at all my daughter school pants was suppose to be done on Wednesday August 24, 2016. Go to pick them up to find out there not done like told they would be but shipped them to 20th n Spring Garden without my permission when I should have got. Phone call saying there not going to be done on Wednesday n that they had to ship them somewhere else no call nothing. Top it off she needs them.for Thursday morning so I had to find a way to get them from 20th n spring Garden at the last minute. I ass Anna to give me the owners name and when will she be I'm cause I would lime to speak to her not happy about the service and she refused to tell me the owners name and when she was due in the shop. No kind of discount or nothing. Not really happy with the service and will never ever go there again n I do not recommend this cleaners at all
I've used UT since the mid90s when they were in Center City. While not a fancy tailor shop, they are the best tailors I've ever used. It's an old family business that is expert in tailoring to your body and in making your clothes look good on you. I highly recommend.
Exceptional tailoring!! Eugene and his wife both have good eyes for details and understand the latest trends in tailoring. I have brought several Loro Piana pieces to them and they always do a great job. They provide made to measure with a variety of luxury fabrics.
Love this place! The owner is so nice and extremely helpful. He noticed some of the buttons on my rain coat were loose so he reinforced them for me. Plus, the prices are AWESOME. Highly recommend
Horrible customer service. I went to have pants altered and was quoted one price. I returned the later in the day and was quoted a higher price. When I asked why the difference in the prices, the owner said "if I didn't like the price to take my business somewhere else".
If I could give this place zero stars I would! It's Nobember 8, 2014 and I just had the worst experience ever! I went in around 5:30 to pick up my husbands military uniform that he needed for this weekend. It took over 24 hours to dry clean. I went to pick it up and as soon as I got home I realized that it was not clean! The stains were the same, it still smelled, and it was not pressed correctly it had lots of wrinkles. My husband called before I headed back to the store and a guy told him they could redo it and it would be ready by 5 tomorrow. I wasn't waiting another day for it to be cleaned again. It should have been done right the first time. I went in asking for a refund and the kid went back and got a manager. The manager came up and he was so f*cking rude! He said if I wanted it to be cleaned I should have washed it with soap and water at home, that any dry cleaner I took it to it would come out like this, and that I was not getting a refund. I have taken it to flee real dry cleaners and they have NEVER come out like this. There were all teens working the store. He started yelling at me so my mother and I started yelling back. We finally got fed up and left. Upon walking out I mentioned I would right a bad review and tell others not to come here and he said he didn't care. So I just lost a few bucks while hopefully this review will make him loose more than what my refund would have been. If he wasn't so freaking rude and ignorant I wouldn't have gone so far as to write a review. I take this as a few bucks lost to know I'll never go back again! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE!!!! I'd rather drive an hour to take my husbands uniform on base to be dry cleaned than to waste my money and time here!
The type of service offered here is unlike anywhere else. People are hardworking and the services have rates that fit any type of budget.
