I think they are the best !!!! I will repeat this great experience . They are very clean , and professional .
I discovered this spa last year around mother’s day period. Previously, my son usually takes me to the one on South street but ever since I knew this place close to me in Northeast, it has been an amazing experience for me. I was absolutely surprised by 6o minutes deep MASSAGE provided by YEN one the massage therapist on this location. I started visiting this spa more frequently because of the kind of treatment I received from the first time. YEN provided another 90 minutes massage in the subsequent visit that includes deep tissue, & foot Reflexology. She knows how to stretch and pull your muscles to relieve pain and tension in a non-painful way. These also allow the blood to flow freely in my body. She added a facial enhancement that involved a warm towel and hot stones on all my different joints. This was very relaxed, therapeutic and rejuvenating. The difference before and after was remarkable & incredible! The bottom line is that the deep tissue, foot reflexology & facial massage I had at this spa was satisfying and really worth the amount I paid 50% off at the time. I can’t wait to go back. I will recommend this place to any one.Dorcas
DO NOT GO HERE! My experience with Bella Medspa has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with any company. I made an appointment to have 2 areas of coolsculpting done. They cancelled my appointment THREE TIMES with less than 24 hours notice. I have a job, as many of us do, and I took off work to have this done, and they couldn't have cared less about not only the inconvenience, but my hours lost at work. Like an idiot, I decided to still have the coolsculpting done by them... I would have let this go, except I just had my 3 month "check-in" and had barely any results. They say you will see a 25% decrease, and I saw, maybe 5%, and the lady who did my check-in agreed with that. They are not offering to do any other treatments or refund me in anyway because "that's why they had me sign the waiver". DO NOT GO TO THEM. There are plenty of other places who actually care about their customers.
I got a birthday gift with was the "queen's package" : massage, facial, Mani and pedi. Let me start by saying I don't think they know what that are doing here and I don't think they have licences. Facial: she was nice, but she put a bunch of stuff on my face and I left feeling oily and gross. Massage: she basically just lightly rubbed my body for a very awkward hour of my life. I asked for more pressure, to which she sighed and begrudgingly replied. At one part she started PUNCHING me!! (It's felt better than the nothing of before) But then she forgot? I asked again, but this time she had headphones in and could not hear me. Then it got interesting, I felt a plop! And then a tiny tip, tip, tap on my butt. "This is a weird massage" I thought? It happened over and over until I realized that it was her phone, and she was actually using my BUTT to text while rubbing me with one hand. I've never felt so disrespected in my life. But I was just laying there naked and she had headphones so I couldn't get up and say anything to her or anyone else. Pedi: same girl! She obviously had a matter at home to take care of, because texted, she rushed me, then she asked me to pick a color. but when i didn't pick in 2 seconds, she snatched the swatches and said "you pick later" and she was generally rude. other patrons in the salon were looking at me like I did something to her! Mani: I told the new women, what happened, she she just said "she probably has family problems." And tried to upsell me on gel. I said no with TEARS IN MY EYES because i was leaving not feeling like a queen, despite the $160 queen package that was supposed to be 3 hours of pampering. I left after 2 hours of oil being drenched on my face, awkward light rubbing, butt texting, being PUNCHED, asian women yelling at me and a free gel upgrade that was supposed to compensate for everything.
Went for cool sculpturing and it's bs. After 4 days I had no pain and was worry if the procedure was done correctly. When they call to check up on me I explain this and they said not everyone gets pain. So 16 weeks later and no difference. The before and after pictures looked the same. I spent a lot of money for this and was quite upset so I ask if they could try the procedure again. They said they had to get a manager to call me. They call 4 days later and said the contract I sign states it doesn't work on everyone. I didn't want a refund I wanted them to try the procedure again and she said she have to talk to another manager. The whole thing is a farce. Don't waste your money. I wished I went for the tummy tuck. For the amount of money you spend a few more thousand dollars and I would have real results. Plus they still haven't sent me my before and after pictures because there's nothing to see.
Exceptional Carizma is an extremely talented and professional stylist. I'm always happy when I leave her salon
I booked a spa after dark couples package for my husbands birthday, and well it ruined his whole entire day. The massage was not relaxing, it was very violent and fast. The masseuse beat on his back to start and slammed her elbow into the side of his neck. This was supposed to be a massage for relaxation, not something that would end up leaving him hurting. Not once did she ask about pressure, it felt more like a massage given to a football player after a hard work out. My masseuse was better, but the massage felt rushed and not relaxing at all. I have had quite a few swedish massages and never have I felt like they were in a race. Second problem, the facial, she got some of the chemicals in his eye, leaving it red and painful for the rest of the night. We had to fill out forms at the beginning of the experience, however, not once did they even look at the forms. Had they done that they would have seen medium to light pressure and that the massages were for relaxation. They also would have seen that I have a herniated disk and a bad knee and had asked for these areas to be avoided. When we went to leave the receptionist asked about our experience and when we explained to her that the masseuse had actually injured my husband she explained that some pain is normal after a massage. Then she asked me to wait for a minute, and disappeared into the back. To be fair she was trying to get some of the services discounted, but all we really wanted to do was leave. The owner asked for my phone number and email address, and stated that the masseuse had stated she asked several times during the massage about the pressure. Very unprofessional!!! Never again. Overpriced, horrible services!!
South Philly Day Spa is under new ownership and management. All previous complaints have been addressed. Definitely come back to visit!
For my bday present I chose to go with the swedish massage and it was OH SO GREAT! My therapist was very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable with the trouble area in my lower back. Hope to have them visit again soon and also will be treating my mother next time around:)
Being a model for skin care products, it’s one of my most important tasks to make my skin look squeaky clean, and as fresh and young as possible. But you know it’s not that easy as it seems to be! The consecutive application of various cosmetics had an adverse effect on my skin, so much so that at the mere age of 29, my skin looked old and dull. It’s then that one of my colleagues told me about chemical peel, which peels away the upper layer of your skin with the application of a type of acidic solution. With the removal of the dead cells, your regenerated skin gets revealed. Though I was a bit confused initially about chemical peel, I decided to visit Bella Medspa. The professionals at the clinic were extremely skilled and treated me with utmost care and expertise. They also guided me with the post treatment precautions. I am glad that I went to Bella Medspa. Can’t thank them enough!
