Fairfield, IA5.0 star ratingUpdate - 9/18/2012 I want to tell you about an amazing hair care professional. His name is Daniel Citro and he is extremely knowledgeable about hair. His talent really shines when giving a haircut. I am very picky about my hair. I first met Daniel in Princeton NJ. I was referred to him by a skin care specialist who trained and worked in NYC. When I called to make an appointment with him (after going to him twice) I discovered he had left. I made a concerted effort to track him down. I found him at the Adolf Biecker Salon in Philadelphia. When he gives a haircut, my hair looks good without having to use a curling iron, etc. I can blow it dry and it looks great. I have shoulder length plus hair. After he cuts it, when I pull it back, it looks full and even. I can not say that about cuts from some other people I have encountered. I currently live in the Midwest. I wait to get my hair cut when I travel East. If I need to, I just have it trimmed until I can make an appointment with him. Just describe to him what you would like. He will make every effort to accommodate your wishes, but will give you his opinion. I have learned a great deal about caring for and styling my hair by listening to him. Daniel has trained in Italy and has worked and (I believe) trained in New York also. In my opinion, he is highly respected in his profession. If you are looking for someone to give you a truly great haircut, book an appointment with Daniel. Just do it! You won't be sorry. Enjoy! If you are in a hurry and choose the valet parking, they validate your ticket for a 25% discount.
I've been going to this nail salon for years. Now they do good nails and are pretty good with eye brow waxs, but there nail salon is not as clean as it could be. There are always flies flying around fall winter spring summer they're always there at least 10 of them to me that isn't sanitary, and the owner Lynn has the worst attitude ever. She's very short with her customers and doesn't like fixing your nails if they get messed up. Jason is pretty good he does a good job with nails and is very nice. Lynn's husband does nails and he's very rough on your hands, every time he'd do my nails, when he would put nail polish on my cuticles would sting really bad and there is always residue from the crilic all over my fingers. I don't go here anymore because of the owners attitude. I decided not to give Her my money anymore regardless of how well she does nails but my family members still goes they put up with it.
This was the first time I went here and it won't be the last. First impression when seeing the place makes you feel uninvited. But when you step inside the place is clean and friendly. I went at 4pm on a Friday and got a chair right away for a gel manicure. The lady that did my nails did a great job. She started the conversation and made it enjoyable. Her hand and back message were great. Also my nails turned out really well. She never tried selling me other services which was nice bc other places do try that. The gel manicure was $31 and it was worth it. All the prices are listed on the wall right when you come in and they have a good selection of polish colors. They also accept credit card but bring cash for tip ( it's easier). Will go back to try a pedicure next.
This was my first time going to the salon since management changed about 6 months ago. Mindy did my nails and I have to say, I am very very happy with my nails. They look so nice! Definitely will be returning back to Victoria Nails. They were pretty slow in business when I was there, but I just think not alot of people know about them yet. So if you happen to go to Victoria Nails (right on Grant Ave in the shopping center where Miller's Ale House is) be sure to write a review after your visit and tell all your friends about your nail experience at Victoria Nails so they can get more people to enjoy their services as well. They do Acrylic Nail, Pink & White, UV Gel, Manicures, Spa Pedicures, Waxing, Facials, and Massages.

I'm officially a fan. Being diabetic, I was always afraid of getting pedicures at random places around the city-- I wasn't sure how clean they were and how they disinfected their tools. This place is all about being CLEAN. I saw every set of tools in a jar of barbicide, as well as sparkling pedicure tubs. The women were nice, friendly, and did an awesome job on my hands and feet. I told my gal, Sally, that I liked the thinner white on french manicures, and she did it exactly how I wanted it.
Great experience. Me & my 90 yr. mother went there today to get a pedi & mani. She has never had one before. They helped me with her wheelchair & acommidated us with all her needs. She is hard of hearing, can't stand, & is on 02. She had a great time. Her granddaughter is getting married in 2 wks. & she wanted to do this. So glad everything worked out great. They are really a great bunch of people that work there. Very professional .
I have been going here for years and so has my mother. WE LOVE IT! Such great owners and they really take care of you. The prices are very low and their extremely clean. Yes I might have a very small wait here and their but that is only because it is always busy but only because people love it so much there the rush can get pretty big. Truly my favorite place and greatest prices. Wouldn't go anywhere else ever.
You know there is an old saying "you get what you pay for." Well, Pinki's prices may be a little higher than other local salons, but the service is sooooo much better. The atmosphere is relaxing, the people are super personable, and the services are top notch. Other salons in the area are noisy and some of the employees are downright rude. I would choose Pinki's over any of them!
I have gone to this nail salon since they opened more than 8 years ago. I have never had any issues with their work nor their fee. I go there now for refill and Gel polish and when the polish has chipped off they repaired it free. Cindy even gets me a pillow for my back as a courtesy, I never asked for it. And Cindy does the best eyebrow wax too!
