The scheduling here is terrible! I made an appointment for a carpet cleaning about a week and a half in advance. Someone from Stanley Steemers came out but did not have the right equipment with him - I'm in an apt building and needed a portable cleaner. He proceeded to tell me that I did not request the portable cleaner. I called the 800 number to reschedule, and the customer service rep said it was very clearly in the system that the guy should have brought the portable cleaner for my appointment. She went to investigate further, and it turned out they all the portable cleaners were already in use and that was the real reason he didn't bring it.
She rescheduled my appt for the next day, and this time, no one showed up at all. Upon calling customer service again, I found out it was a glitch in the system that allowed them to book the appointment but it wasn't actually available. So I rescheduled for the next day. Since I had work, she booked me for a 8am-9am time slot. At 7:50, someone called and said the cleaning crew was on the way. At 8:55 no one had showed up yet, so I called. Apparently they were doing a job down the street and running about 30-40 minutes late. Umm thank you for telling me that! The guy stopped by and of course tried to upsell me. I said no. I ended up having to leave the keys with him bc I was late for work. He said he would call after he was done but he didn't.
The only reason for the 2 stars is that the carpet looked great after the cleaning. But it wasn't worth the time and the stress to ever use them again.
Completely terrible. We scheduled an appointment to clean an apartment we had just purchased a week in advance. After the 3 hour drive, we waited an hour past the scheduled cleaning time. When the van showed up, the cleaner said that they will need to go and find a portable cleaner to clean the apartment. We then wait another 3 hours, with us calling every hour for an update. The last update claimed that they were 10 minutes away. However, after three hours, a third person called who said that the portable cleaner had broke, and that they will need to reschedule. Needless to say, we were out of our patience and declined their services. The combination of their lying to us on the expected time and service, as well as the wasted 6 hour round trip car ride made our experience terrible. What a complete waste of time.
