We called in our reservation around 2 PM, Oct. 22 there answering machine picked up and said leave your message. Which we did for diner at 5PM that evening, when we arrived we were not on the reservation list. We explained and her comment was nobody ever listens to the messages on the answering machine you need to talk to someone. OK so why don't they change there message??
They did squeeze us in for diner even though they where only a few people seated.
My wife's crab cake was very good, I had the duck which was not very good.
TONIGHT I ATTENDED A BIRTHDAY PARTY AT THE MOSHULU AND IT WAS IN ONE WORD ... AWSOME! THE STAFF WAS SUPER ATTENTIVE AND VERY FRIENDLY! EVERYONE HAD A GREAT TIME. I WOULD DEFINATLEY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO OTHER PEOPLE LOOKING TO HAVE A PRIVATE PARTY OR MAYBE JUST DINNER!

We were seated by a friendly and accommodating hostess who obliged us per our requests, to be seated near a window affording the view we had anxiously hoped for.
Matt, the attending manager was quickly ushered over to us and oversaw the activities of the wait staff, providing us with a romantic dining experience to remember.
The evening opened with a beautiful maritime view of the Delaware lit up by local ships that frequent the harbor. Warm dark woods and carpets gave rise to cozy lights that adorned the large window views.
Kenny, our waiter, was not only professional, but very knowledgeable of the menu choices. He was friendly, professional and unimposing.
The appetizers were delivered with an artsy flair of which we indulged in ""Award Winning""
miniature rolls, stuffed with tender beef, scallops upon a layer of artichoke risotto and large tender shrimp on a bed of thin orange sauce.
The main entrees consisted of generous portions of Pork Medallions and Chilean Sea bass, covered with warm sauces/crusted mushrooms and underscored with lightly prepared green and yellow vegetables. Warm home made style rolls complimented the butternut squash soup and large winter salad.
The restaurant was in accordance with the excellent standards of fine dining at its best, as the delivery of the courses were well timed adding to the relaxing tempo of the dinner.
We were pleasantly surprised when the arrival of a desert came accompanied with a warm glowing candle marked with a chocolate birthday greeting. This was generously presented to us by Kenny and associated staff.

Having not been to the Moshulu in quite a few years, I made a reservation this past weekend. I was pleasantly surprised at the renovation which had taken place --- clearly not recently---- but nicer than I remembered just the same.
Our waiter was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, and took the time to explain the preparation of a few of the dishes.
The menu looked interesting enough and we started with some apps. We ordered the Seared Diver scallops and Tuna Tartar. The scallop turned out to be 1 (small) scallop, seared but cold, on a bed of risotto for a whopping $12 and the tartar was served in a brick with mostly Avacado/Guaq combo for $16. The wedge salad was good with plenty of quality blue cheese. Our entrees were both fish dishes Mahi and Chilean Sea Bass both very small portions but not poorly prepared. My Sea bass was priced at $32 and it was about the size of a silver dollar?? My entree was served al-a-carte and the side dishes i ordered were sweet potato gnocchi and also the sauteed vegetables each served in a crock type small bowl and each $9 ---- get the drift !! Plenty of room for dessert, which was cheesecake and maple bourbon ice cream ect.. very tasty with a nice presentation.
All in all not a horrible experience but very over priced $100.00 per person(only two glasses of wine on the bill)

My fiance and I do not get to go out very often do the fact of our busy schedules so when we were able to enjoy a night out we wanted to make sure it was worth it. We had heard about the Moshulu from a friend and decided to give it a try. Well from the minute I walked into the lobby and viewed the amazing replica cake of the White House done by Moshulu's own pastry chef, Ernie Rich, I knew we had picked a great place. I am very picky about having my steaks cooked correctly so I was a little hesitant in ordering the 9oz fillet, however, I gave it a try and was amazed how perfectly cooked it was. I must say that we chose the right place to enjoy our night out and I can not wait to come back in the summer say I can enjoy dining on the deck!!
I went to the Moshulu for my boyfriend's brunch with his parents. We were all so astounded by our experience! It was unique being the ship with the views of Penns Landing and the Ben Franklin Bridge, not to mention the decor inside, the beautiful buffetts that were set up, the delicious entrees prepared fresh, and the warm, attentive service we received! It was such a special, relaxing, incredible experience! I certainly recommend it to anyone!

My sister and I decided to dine at Moshulu for New Years eve this year. I must say...WOW. What an unforgettable evening. The ship is so elegant, and the staff so accomodating. Be sure to request a window as we did. We had to wait a few extra minutes for our table but it is well worth it! On special holidays Moshulu offers a pre fixe menu with choices for each couse. The food was absolutely delicious and the service...well considering it was a holiday and I'm sure one of the busiest days of the year for this restaurant the entire staff was in such high spirits. From the time we had our car parked to the time we left the restaurant we experienced nothing but the most gracious hospitality. After dinner guests were invited up to the deck for cocktails, live entertainment and a beautiful fireworks display at midnight. My sister and I were thrilled. One of the most memorable dining experiences of my life!
