You walk in the store and you feel just like you?re in a fashion showroom at VOGUE!! They have so many designers like my faviorts Yōji Yamamoto, Comme Des Garcon, Chloe, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Stella Mc Cartney , Rick Owens, Prada, Miu Miu, Junya Wantanabe, Martin Margiela, and Dres van Noten with all the wonderful floral print. All these designers in one place are fantastic and make just looking around wonderful. The sales people are all so helpful at putting wonderful outfits together. They also have great little cookies champagne ,wine and cheese to snack on which I love. Because shopping can just be too much sometimes but when you can shop, take your time and have some wine makes it all the better. So I purchased a Y3 bag by Yōji Yamamoto and a pair of Prada shoes which I love and know that no one else in the city has them on I know that this store gets one of a kind pieces and they are special to the city??. A must visit

I was introduced to Joan Shepp about five years ago while visiting friends in Philadelphia. I live in New York but shop here whenever I can and make trips just to shop here. Joan Shepp is always my first thought when I need something great. They have just about everything for any woman who knows anything about fashion. The collections are the best anywhere in Philadelphia and the service is usually excellent. If you can't find something you love here or don't appreciate a little bit of Europe in Philadelphia then you might feel better going back to Kohl's.

I am an avid shopper and enjoy shopping at luxury department stores such as Bloomingdales, Saks and Nordstroms on a regular basis. I decided to try Joan Shepp since it is steps from where I live. I walked in the store with the intent to buy a pair of ""booties"" by Christian Louboutin. I stood for fifteen minutes, while four sales associates stood less than five feet away all ""helping"" one woman buy stockings. I understand that the woman may be a regular customer, but they seemed unwilling to even look my way because I was in sweats, (they were juicy couture). It seemed obvious that they didn't want to help anyone they percieved as unable to afford 800 boots, which I am sad to say was their loss. I am a loyal customer and will now be taking all my business elsewhere. I would recommend Boyds. While they have a smaller selection for women, they are much kinder to their customers. Don't go here unless neccessary, even if they do have an excellent selection of clothing. The sales associates were very rude.

If you are in the fashion know;then you know all about the platform;however, many designer label shoes, have made this trend an uncomforting experience;""OUCH""! My toes all crunched up until I got my Laboutin shoes.Unfortunately,I bought my shoes elsewhere as I could not make it to this store in time;(I bought the tassle swing at Bergdoff Goodman);I hope you can find a wider range of selection and more styles than I did;I was hoping to find an ankle platform boot.If anyone sees the ankle platform boot here, please contact me and I will rush from NJ to Philly to get it!

First of all, I am glad that Philly has at least 1 shop where one can find an upscale designer label, BUT somehow I always leave Shepp empty-handed. Their selection is very limited, and geared toward the 40+ woman. There's nothing fun for a 20 or 30-something to wear.
Their prices are outrageous, since most of the stuff was already on clearance at Neiman's months ago.

they seemed to pick out the dullest pieces the designers had to offer. the only colors are black, tan, white, and the occassional wretched pink. ugh. if i'm gonna go designer and spend the money, i want something fabulous. everything here seems so safe.

This stunning boutique caters to the heart of a true fashionista. Joan Shepp has fantastic designer names with an excellent, well bought selection under each name. If you are searching for a distinct piece or something to throw on for a party, this is the place.
In addition, Joan's accessory selection is to die for! Great shoes by Prada, Stephane Kelian and others, and accessories by designers you won't find anywhere else. You will not have to worry about someone else wearing your favorite piece when you step out of Joan Shepp.
