Independence Charter School is a community-oriented kindergarten through eighth grade school. It offers curriculum in music, arts, history, and geography of cultures and countries throughout the world. It also offers a Spanish language immersion program that consists of visuals, games, songs, story-telling and physical activities. Additionally, it operates summer curriculum, and gifted support and special education programs that provide students with opportunities for growth and for remediation. The Independence Charter School also offers community service through various projects. It utilizes local cultural and educational institutions, museums and businesses to broaden the perspectives of the students. It also incorporates modern communications and computer technology to facilitate dialogues and learning from children around the world.
