Hughes Roofing

My aged parents hired Hughes aftering finding an ad in their church bulletin. They needed a very simple gutter replacement on a small part of their roof and around their front porch where they like to sit in the summer.





Hughes botched the job and had the gutter hanging down well below the roofline - in a position which none of us had ever seen on any house.



Also, they didnt seal the gutters so there was a leak and there is also a large gap now between the roof gutter and the roof. Anybody would know that if there's a large space between the gutter and the roof, water is going to pour into the area in between and NOT into the gutter. The water is now going down the side of the house, into the foundation and coming into the basement.



Hughes has been called on MANY occasions by my parents and by me. On one occasion they came back out and fized their dangling gutter on the porch, but never fixed the gap at the roofline and the water continues to run into the basement. They have promised on many occasions to come back out but they never show up. Unfortunately, my father paid them, so they have no interest in correcting their botched job.



The receptionist keeps telling us that the owner will contact us, but he never does. We have been trying to get them back out for more htna 6 months, to no avail. We are not asking for money back - just the job done in accordance to what any worthy roofer would do.



Hughes is a rip-off artist who advertises where elderly people are likely to see the ads - and then they fail to give the service paid for. Beware!
