I love this place. I've been taking my dog here for almost 4 years. We take him here at least once a week, and whenever we go on vacation. The place has a huge indoor and outdoor play area. My dog always comes back better trained and EXHAUSTED. I mean, so tired that he sleeps for the whole next day. They have them run around with tons of other dogs. And the little things are great -- they put out pools for them to play on on hot days. The staff is great. Honestly, I couldn't say anything better about Doggie World.

I had brought my dog here a few times before and was generally happy with the service. The last time I was away, my dog got bit by another dog in 2 different spots and had to get staples. I was super upset however I understand accidents happen. After I picked him up I never received a call from the owner of doggie world to see how he was doing and to check up with me.That really pissed me off and I will never take him back here again.

My dog loves going to this place! the staff is always friendly and welcomes him right away with a treat. He is always warn out once I get him home from playing all day! In responce to the post below THEY DO NOT KEEP YOUR DOG IN A CRATE ALL DAY they are only in a crate for feeding and sleeping (nap time and bed time).
I wish they had a full service groomer though, then I wouldn't be running all over town!
I WOULD NOT recommend that anyone board their dogs or any animals with daycare. I called for prices and they told me they wouldn't take them because they're pit bull mixes, then she hung up on me while I was still talking! I called back to speak to a manager or supervisor and she was even worse, raising her voice at me! My boyfriend and I rescued 2 of the sweetest dogs last year. The worst problem they have is obsessive kissing. They are great with people, children of all ages and other animals. We take them to dog parks, parties, get-togethers, etc. all the time and have NEVER had a problem. Since the economy has been so bad, you would think that they would want the business, but not this one. Not to mention that their fees are the highest I've seen yet!

Recently I was back in Philly on business and I had to bring my Cocker Spaniel (Sidney) with me. I was so HAPPY to see that DWD was still in business as Sidney had spent most of her days and on occasion weekends at DWD in her younger years (when we were residents of Philly).
Sidney was so excited to see old friends and make new ones while at DWD and when I picked her up she would be so tuckered out from her wonderful day at DWD.
DWD is a lovely place for doggies it has a spacious yard where dogs can play and if you need to leave your pooch for a weekend this place offers boarding.
It is clean and the staff is so nice. I wish that there was a place as great as DWD up here in Connecticut.
Thanks for taking care of my Sidney.

I TOOK MY LAB/MIX TO THIS PLACE ONLY 3 TIMES BECAUSE ON THE 2ND DAY WHEN I WENT TO PICK HER UP, SHE WAS IN A CRATE. I DIDN'T NEED TO PAY SOMEONE 25.OO TO PUT HER IN A CRATE, I COULD HAVE LEFT HER AT HOME! NOT NICE TO KEEP ALL THE PETS IN CRATES. ALSO WHERE ELSE IN PHILADELPHIA CAN I TAKE MY DOG? I CAN NOT FIND A DAYCARE. LABODORLOVER@AOL

I have brought my 70+ pound mixed-breed dog to DWD about 7 times. He is extremely friendly to people and other dogs, and passed their screening process without incident. Unfortunately, the screening process must be very flawed, because I have picked him 2X with large and deep bite marks on his face, head, and ears. One of those wounds was so deep, it should've been sutured and was left untreated by the staff. When I asked a staff member to have Charity (the owner) call me, she did not.
I let the incident go, figuring it was a random occurrence. Then, I picked him on a different occassion to find puncture wounds on his ear and head - no one called to inform me, and the wounds were left untreated.
I will not bring my dog back to this kennel again - there are too many other places in and around the city that provide reliable screening and play monitoring. Do not bring your dog here if you care about his/her safety.

This place does not do a proper agressive dog screening - they have their staff meet the dog for assessment, without exposing him to the other dogs. This is inadequate as dogs do not behave the same way around other dogs as around people.
I had my dog boarded here twice. The second time my pooch came home with about 10 large cuts and scrapes all over his body. Nobody at the facility mentioned this when the dog was picked up and they dismissed my complaint over the phone. Needless to say, I won't take him there again.
