I have looked for an outstanding Hair Salon for over a year and I am glad I have finally found it!!! Ani performed MAGIC! My natural hair is fine and breaks very easily, I was never able to color it without problems or grow it long. I did not trust anyone with my hair. I was looking and asking around for a long time trying to find hair stylist with an experience and passion for her work. . I was sent to see Ani at Charlie's Salon , who recognized the problem and gave me beautiful color without any breakage!
Since I trust Ani 100%, I have also decided to get Hair Extensions . I have tried many kinds of extensions before, but the kind Ani provided is THE BEST. My hair looks very natural! Thanks to maintenance care provided by Ani, I have had beautiful hair for over 6 months now.
Thank you Ani and Charlie's Salon for this metamorphosis.
I LOVE IT!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE CHARLIE SALON!!! All of the stylists and colorists are absolutely amazing, especially Charlie. I have been going here for as long as I can remember and could not imagine getting my hair done anywhere else in the city. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a cut, color. Ghalia is amazing for any of the wonderful facial treatments, brows or waxing. I HEART CHARLIE SALON!!

I went to Charlie salon after reading reviews on here. When I called to schedule an appointment, I spoke with Charlie. He seemed nice and told me he was going to take good care of my hair (I have very think hair). When I went to the salon, he ignored my needs and didn't even show me the color he put on my hair. He told me it was going to be a long process to dye my hair, but he did not tell me it would cost me 240 dollars...yes 240 DOLLARS FOR THE WORST HAIR COLOR EVER. My hair was black, brown, and BLONDE. I came in to get a caramel brown color, where the hell did the blonde come from? All together, I felt so uncomfortable in the salon.
Charlie is the most unprofessional hair stylist with the worst attitude I have ever witnessed. Please save your sanity and dont come here.

I have been going to Charlie Salon for over a year and have had nothing but wonderful experiences. I was referred to Mallory because I am a natural brunette and had always wanted to venture into a golden/highlighted look but was scared to look striped or unnatural. She listened to all of my ideas and looked at the pictures I brought and when the day was done, my hair was EXACTLY what I had wanted. I get stopped by friends and strangers asking where I get my hair colored!
Mallory is also wonderful for updos and special event styles...I competed in the Miss Philadelphia pageant about a month ago and she did such a fantastic job on my hair, all the other contestants asked where I had gotten it done. She showed me exactly how to curl it and tease it so the style would last all day. I can't thank her enough!

It was my first visit to Charlie Salon and I was very impressed. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. It was like I was a long-time customer. The important thing, though, is the haircut. Charlie discussed with me what would be a good cut for my hair and we went with it. I absolutely adored what he did with it. I'm receiving nothing but compliments and ""Who did your hair? I love it!""
I've had a lot of trouble finding a salon where the whole package is a perfect fit for me. I found it at Charlie Salon. They won't be getting rid of me anytime soon!

Walking into Charlie salon on a bad weather day was out of boredom. I was off from from work and decided to treat myself. I was shortly introduced to Mia, she was so cute and perky. Here I thought, just another stylist. But NO, Mia amazed me with her extensive product knowledge and many tips on what I can do for my hair at home. I was enthralled to see someone really care about their customer and not just rushing them out of her chair. I can't believe I never went to her before, Mia, you have me for life. I love my hair and I work in the area, so Mia, I will be coming back.

I only post a review when I feel that someone truly deserves the recognition! I'm new to Philly, just moved here from another large city where I was attached to my salon and hairstylist, so stepping into a new situation was tricky for me. I read some of the reviews about Charlie Salon and decided I wanted to try this stylist named Mia. First , Mia was warm and a had a friendly personality. Second, she took her time to listen to what I like, asked questions, and we arrived at a plan. Third, technically she was confident and creative. The end result was beyond what I was expecting or could have anticipated. I felt great ! It was so refreshing to experience something like this. Thank goodness for City Search and thank you, Mia!

I am not the kind of person who will go to a salon, I don't call for a specific stylist, I am fashion inept. I work in the city and I was in need of a haircut. I did what any person would do, I viewed citysearch. I checked out the reviews and decided to try them out. I mean how bad could they be right? I have been going to - I'll say it Hair Cuttery - so I thought I'd go for something better.
I walked in and felt like they wanted my attention and business. First class from the minute I walked in as everyone was very polite and gracious.
I was informed my stylist would be Mia (radiant in talent and personality), so I waited for her to finish her last client. She was informed I was waiting, ran over, apologized for being behind schedule and would be with me quickly.
When she was ready, Mia asked me what I do and just to get an idea of what she was working with. We briefly discussed what I wanted, and I just said to her, ""Do what you think works."" Her eyes lit up and went to work.
Fast forward to the end, I got a killer haircut, walking out feeling and looking good.
I finally understand why people will pick a stylist, and how their talent can make a huge difference. So for those in the know - you are already coming here and don't need my review. But, if you are looking for that extra something to give you a new look, drop in, and start your new year right.
