Their review was in 2009 and nothing has changed! I live into the neighborhood and have experienced the same. The food is nothing special, there are tons of pizza places in the hood just like it, but complaints about the noise are ignored or excused away as if it's not their problem. I live across the street from the other reviewer and have complained with no success. Loud customers sitting outside or loitering till 1 or 2am. It's a major nuisance establishment and puts a blemish for our otherwise great neighborhood.
The Best Pizza variety in University City!!!!The most delicious cheesesteaks and Chicken
They are the only one that they carry the Rustic sandwiches!!!!!
They have like 100+ more different kind of beers!!
One more year for me and i can by from them. They DON'T serve under 21!!!!!!!
Great place to eat, relax, and have fun. Friendly people to serve you.
I don't know if you realize what i want to say!!!!!!!

I use to go here on a regular basis for their quality beer selection. They carry selections from Unibroue, Ommegang, Chimay, and many other fine breweries. But, one foul incident involving the owner made me want to never set foot in there again.
My girlfriend and I purchased their last bottle of Maudite on the shelf. We got back to the apartment, and as soon as I opened it up, I knew something was wrong with it. I poped the cork, but there was no 'pop'. I poured a couple of glasses and there was no head. After we had both taken a sip, it was obvious that the beer had gone bad. I poured both glasses down the drain, recorked the bottle, and my girlfriend walked back to Varsity Pizza to exchange it for another selection while I waited for our delivery from Tandoor to arrive.
When she got back, she told me of the shouting match she had to get into just so the owner would allow her to return the expired beer. His argument being that how could he allow a return on a half-empty bottle. We are both in there once or twice a week, so there would be no reason for either of us to try to ""scam"" him. There was more than enough beer left in the bottle for him to taste and realize that it had gone sour. But, instead of treating a dedicated customer with respect, he decided to make accusations and act completely unprofessionally. After his reasoning for not wanting to make the return was nullified, he reluctantly let her make an exchange.
If their stock was rotated with each new shipment, this argument could have been avoided.
So, if you don't mind putting up with terrible customer service, they have the best beer selection in the area. Just watch out for the underage kids drinking.
