Sadly, I recently lost my cat Timmy to liver cancer. The staff at Bree's were so compassionate and caring. We took him in because he was listless, not eating and vomiting even when he tried to drink water. Dr. Robejo did everything he could to keep Timmy comfortable. On the day that we had to euthanize Timmy, Dr. Robejo was in constant contact with me until my husband came home after work and we could go over to say goodbye. Dr. Robejo was honest and understanding; he provided high quality care ( IV, x-ray, etc.) without giving us false hope. I will always be grateful to Dr. Robejo, Eileen, Leanne and everyone else whose names I did not learn. I am fortunate to have such a great vet right around the corner.
I absolutely love all of the staff at Bree's Animal Hospital. My father took our pets there when I was a child and I continue to take all of my animals there as an adult. Unfortunately not every experience turns out with your pet being okay but the care is always exceptional! I have the utmost confidence that my animals receive the best vetinary care while there and I know for a fact they are loved! I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Some of these reviews have simply got to be made up. I've been going there for almost a decade. I've moved to S. Jersey and STILL take my pets there. I board my pets there when I go on vacation. I wouldn't trust their lives to anyone else. Over the years, my numerous dogs and one cat have had various surgeries, and one received ongoing chemo treatments there. Everyone in that office loves my pets as much as I do and my pets love them too. I would recommend them to anyone and will never trust my beloved pets to any other vet.
I took my Yorkshire terrier here to get treated after being mauled by a pit bull and they wouldn't even treat my dog until I paid $400 on the spot. I was told he couldn't be put in surgery without being neutered in addition to me not paying a portion of the ridiculous $800 cost for overnight, fluids and stitches. My dog didnt need stitches I know this because I am a veterinarian student myself so I see things like this daily. I have never had such poor service in my life and this goes to show how financially selfish this vet is. They even sent me and my dog home all bloody and in shock because they did not recieve what they wanted. I will never go here again! I do not recommend going to this vet!
We had our puppy neutered at Bree's. Doctor Mike did a fabulous job and our puppy healed quickly; he was his normal self the day after surgery. Dr. Mike, Ilene and her daughter Dana are wonderful and very professional. My daughter and I are very satisfied with Baxter's treatment at Bree's.
My 4 cats have been patients of Dr Bree's for over 4 years....It was always routine visits until last December when I took my 10 year old cat Sandy in for what I thought was a small issue...Dr Marc found a mass and she was taken in on Monday for surgery...Dr Marc called me personally after the surgery and they encouraged me to visit with my "baby" during her 2 day hospital stay. I was kept informed and Dr Marc went over every aspect of her illness, and surgery and subsequent treatments.....Although we had hoped for the best, her biopsy came back as an aggressive form of lymphoma....Dr Marc took the time to research the best treatment for her and together we came up with a plan that worked for Sandy. For a month I was in the office 3 days a week for treatments and after treatments the staff would call me and inquire as to how Sandy was doing....I didn't just leave the office and was forgotten - they cared and made it known we were not just a number to them. I am now in the office twice a week and I cannot say enough good things about this kind, caring facility. In the four years I have been going there, I have never seen a cleaner animal hospital. When I dropped my cat off for surgery at 7am the girl at the desk was disinfecting and when I was visiting at night after office hours the staff was cleaning and mopping and disinfecting! Spotless would be an accurate description! I would never trust anyone but Dr Marc or Dr Roblejo to take care of my babies....
Doctor cancelled a surgery appointment two days before the surgery....This appointment was scheduled two weeks in advance and after canceling showed no compasion and avoided me on the telephone. Instead the doctor talked through one of his assistants and refused to talk to me personally.

My rescue dog of 1 year from the ASPCA had not been eating for a few days and her normally hyper and energetic self was being very different, We took her to the Vet at the ASPCA and they had explained they needed to do an Xray to determine if there was an obstruction in her intestines. They palpated her said yes she needs an XRay, upon viewing the films the physician stated that the obstruction had traveled from her stomach to her intestines and therefore she needed emergency surgery to save her life because her intestines could rupture. We took her to Bree's Animal hospital and they immediately got to work on my baby. They admitted her, we left after saying our ""see ya laters"" . About 2 hours later the physician called us and asked us to come in to talk to him. We drove there immediately. Apparently, my dog actually had an inflammed spleen, and it had ruptured. They removed her spleen and to their amazement it was 3x's the normal size and was covered in Cancer Tumors. They explained that due to the spleen rupturing her blood loss was intense and she needed an emergency blood transfusion, The Tech Donna immediately rushed to her Grandmother's home to retrieve her dog and use that dog to tranfuse blood to save my dog's life!!!! Lee sat with my Kasha for hours to ensure she was stable and treated her like her own dog. We came to see our baby and she ws very sick. The entire staff was so worried about our Kasha that they went to the resteraunt to buy her steak since she was not eating the dog food they had given her inititally to eat. There were about 5 of our family members inside the kennel rooom to vist Kasha and they allowed us to stay with her for as long as we wanted to. They sent a peice of the bad Spleen to get a biopsy to see if the cancer had spread any where else in her body. Kasha will be going home today to be with us and we will anxiously await these results. Everyone has their own experience with everything they do in life, and some may have had bad experiences and some may have had good ones, there is no pleasing everyone, but please be sure to know that these people saved my Kasha's life and we can never repay them!!!! They are compassionate, Empathetic, and very loving. Thank you all for giving our Kasha a second chance at life!!! The Regalbuto Family!!

If you want the easy way out, go to Bree's because it is on Frankford Ave and the clinic type hours allow you some flexibility. If you seek uncaring, unskilled and rude staff treating your pets and yourself, then yes, Bree's is the place for you.
If you prefer a vet that stays up on education, treats your pets with the proper care along with love and attention, then you need to go elsewhere.
My last straw was watching the older vet stick my puppy 8 times to draw blood, never give me any treatment or recommendations. If I did not think fast enough to contact another vet (Rockledge Vet) my puppy would have died from an infection.
Worst Vet in NE Philly -- don't settle. Go elsewhere for real care. The differences are amazing.

I have been going to Dr. Conrad for 35 plus years with all of my 5 dogs(babies).
He and Dr. Marc are the best!!! I and my (girls) dogs have always been treated with respect, kindness and compassion. The office staff is always helpful, whether I am in the office for a visit or I am calling from home for advice or have a question that needs an answer.
I travel 60 plus miles for my visits to see the Drs. I know that on two separate occasions and with two different dogs, Dr. Conrad saved their lives and kept them with me longer than expected, and with a good quality of life.
With one dog, she needed a very risky surgery on her spleen, and the chances of survival were very slim. Dr. Conrad explained all of the risks involved. Even if it was a success, chances of living past 3 months was about all I should expect, which I understood. I opted to have the surgery done, it was successful, and she lived another nine months!!
The times when I've had to say ""goodbye"" to my dogs, the Drs. and office staff have been nothing but KIND, SYMPATHETIC, and COMPASSIONATE to my feelings and the final comfort of my pets. They give you as much time as you need and give you comfort in that loss.
I am so grateful for the treatment that my dogs have received over the years.
I will continue to recommend Bree's to my friends. Thank you for all that you do for animals!
I took my cat to bree's and Dr Marc dignosed my cat with conjuntivits (herpes in his eye) This doctor did Not take any tests, blood work, or so on. He wipes my cat's eye, stuck a flashlight up to his eye and said he had this chemosis(Pink Eye) That was it now it's time to buy the meds. I used everything he told me to purchased and nothing worked. Trying to get this doctor on the phone forget it! he has his gum popping bimbo's there to answer all the calls and give advice when they are not trained as a vet doctor. Anyway, my cat didn't heal and these people kept having me take my cat back and forth until the last visit in October. Now here comes the other vet Conrad. he looked at my cat's eye and said my cat needs to have blood work? After all this time and now this is said. He than asked me to sign this paper and his assitant came in the room checking down all these things. which the bill so far would come to $570.00 I told him I didn't have the money like that. and why did after all this time I'm thinking they didn't do this in the beggining. These meds they told me to buy was for something now they don't know and want to take blood work to find out what it is. so I'm using these meds for months and watching my cat become more and more sick, I knew something wasn't right. Now I called him and told him that will my cat have to get more medications for his eye. Rudely enough I'm told the Doctor is not going to let you buy anymore meds until I come up with the $570.00 for the blood work and that's only the start. I was refused medication for my cat now. I was through with these gold digging money hungry bastards! I took my cat to Noah's Ark and the vet there who has compassion and truly love animals walked over to my cat seen him and looked at my cat like he was truly bad off. no thanks to all those meds. She felt my cat's body and shook her head and than opned his mouth and said my cat has cancer in the mouth. Something Dr Marc and Conrad didn't even do simply opened his mouth and seen this. I don't know if my cat will survive after all of this but she is going to do all she can bless her. but no thanks to these two doctor's who played with my cat's and treatment. These doctors are heartless and they want your money only. Most these good reviews are no doubt his gum popping bimbo's who are writing them as great reviews they should they just sit there and have nothing more to do. You don't have to take my word for it and your going to do what you want to do anyway but as my cat is in the hospital now and things don't look good unless a miracle happens thanks to these two bastards for wasting my cat's time and misdignosing with pink eye when it's cancer YOU IDIOTS! I'm not going to even tell you not to go here enter at your own risk but for the love of your pets look around first and Noah's Ark is the only place I highly suggest a Vet who has compassion, Care and Lots of Love. Not to mention she's done her homework. Not like Marc And Conrad. Doctors? No I don't think so maybe by title but not by education. Just please Beware. I wouldn't want this to happen to your pets like it is happening my my cat now. I have nothing to gain by writing this apart from to let other's be informed by what is truth and the truth speaks for itself. Just Beware please for your animals sakes...
I have been a client of Dr. Roblejo since 1975, when he also owned Somerdale (NJ) Animal Hospital. My parents had several cats we took there. Dr. Roblejo is a kind, wonderful vet. My Maine Coon, Fonzie, was ill. Dr. Roblejo took him for a couple weeks, said "don't worry" and we got him back and he was fine. He charged us nothing! He is a caring, wonderful man.
I followed him to Bree's when he sold Somerdale. I have had several cats and they have done nothing but be like family to me. All the vet techs, Dr. Roblejo and his son, Dr. Marc - Helene (Dr. Roblejo's wife) and Renee' the Office Manager and Head Vet Tech....are like family to me. I have had a few cats in severe situations and they have NOT charged outstanding fees? Where did that customer come up with that? Go to Center City or Voorhees NJ and see what you get charged. I travel from Haddon Heights NJ to Phila. to see them...only 25 minutes travel. they are caring, wonderful people and I have been through severe heartbreak with losing two cats within 6 days of each other and I went to their office for consolation.
They saved several of my cats when others knew not what to do. I love them and will always be a client.

I read some really harsh reviews and I never post on here for anything. But I felt compelled as I have been taking 2 dogs to this vet for 10 years. If you saw the type of people they have to deal with on a regular basis, the white trash NE crew, you might give them a break for not always having patience...maybe it is you that was rude and needed to step back and let them do their job. Maybe because I speak to them with respect they welcome my animals and myself warmly. So before you bash someone, look at how you act....I can guarantee you were rude and obnoxious as I have seen so many patients be in this hospital.

I took my dog to Brees Animal Hospital after my dachshund, Oscar, became very lethargic and stopped eating. He was examined my Dr. Marc who noted on his pale gum color and recommended running some tests. It turns out Oscar swallowed a few pennies which caused zinc toxicity. He needed emergency surgery to remove the pennies and a blood transfusion to counter the zinc toxicity. A few days later Oscar made a full recovery. I will always be grateful to Dr. Marc and BAH who saved my babe’s life! Anyone looking for a GREAT vet and staff, you have found them.

We've been going to Bree's for years, but since they've remodeled, it seems like the prices are outrageous and the quality of the service has declined. They used to spend time with us explaining our cat's exam and now I always feel rushed and uninformed as to what they're doing. If they treated a sick pet, they used to call a few days later to check up, and that has not happened in the past 3 visits. The last time, I needed to demand an itemized bill. They just quoted a price and expected me to hand over a credit card and there were things on the bill that should have been removed. We brought our pet back in the AM for a procedure, rather them leave him overnight, because boarding aggitates him and they tried to charge for boarding. These are competent vets, but customer service is poor. I just think they are too expensive and treat owners like they're on an assembly line.

Our dog had had two seizures a few days ago, and we weren't sure if he would make it or not. However, he had a few days where the outlook was positive, and we asked for a second opinion from our cousin. We requested that certain tests be done, but the Bree's vets strongly recommended against running the tests because it did not seem hopeful. When we insisted that they run them for our peace of mind, they responded harshly, stating ""THIS DOG IS GOING TO DIE!"" and proceded to hang up on us. This was the result of a mistake where we were uninformed that our dog had taken a turn for the worse. This doctor was incredibly hurtful, and did nothing but increase the amount of pain we were already going through. We went to visit, and at first he was unresponsive, but after a little time, care and love, he got up, walked around, and seemed to make an incredible recovery! THIS BEHAVIOR IS NOT ACCEPTABLE BY MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS OF ANY KIND. THESE PEOPLE DISGUST ME DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE, FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE

My brother had a 9 month old Pitt named Yankee, He was such a lovable, fun and happy puppy. Yankee had started throwing up and diariha really bad. My brother took him to Bree's Animal Hospital on a Friday who at this point gave my brother a printout of tests that they wanted to do! Now going there not expecting a list that totaled over $2000.00 and not having all of the money they told him to pick the things out that he could to pay for!!! So needless to say he picked out the a full workup and an x-ray to find out what was going on with little Yankee... They came back and told him the Yankee has a small bactirial bubble in his intesines and that he can get meds for him so he got the meds and ask for the workup results Bree's then told him that he has to pay and extra $1800.00 for the results of the workup that the price they gave him was to just draw the workup not get the results!!! What is that about????? Well my brother paid the almost $500.00 and Yankee died on Monday morning due to him having Parvo not a bactirial bubble!!! Bree's is the most nasty and unprofessional place I have ever seen. I can't believe he even took the puppy to that place!!!
