Loved the Scones!!!!

My girlfriend and I agreed to meet for coffee and I decided on Bonte. I told her I stumbled onto this little cafe while visiting the dentist. I later found out that there were 3 locations which is great. We were set on trying their waffles (which they are famous for), but after seeing the pastry at the counter, we changed our minds. I had the cranberry scone and she had a cinnamon roll. All I can is DELICIOUS! The cranberry scone (after it was heated) was great! Oozing with cranberries, and just the right amount of everything. Not too sweet or dry, Perfect. My girlfriend said her cinnamon roll was delicious as well, especially after she added cream cheese. We were at the 9th and Walnut street location, next to WaWa. Small, but cute, with very good customer services. The guys that work behind the counter were very pleasant. We will definitely meet their again! I will definitely try the waffles next time!

Coffee Hot Spot

I never thought I'd be one of those people who frequents a coffee house, but the vibe I get from Bonte is so freakin' cool! If you go to Starbucks, they're friendly but it feels too corporate. If you go to the coffee shop that's on 19th near Walnut, it's way too pretentious. You won't feel any of that nonsense at Bonte.
Bonte offers the Belgian Sugar Waffle that tastes like a warm fluffy pastry. No pancake syrup is needed for these waffles. They are great just the way they are. The selection of sandwiches is unique and healthy. A couple of my favorties: Turkey on Multi-grain bread with shaved carrots and tomatoes, or the Curry chicken with sprouts on Multi-grain bread. The line is sometimes long but it moves quickly. And, if you happen to see Brad, the owner...he is total eye candy.

best sandwiches

I know everyone goes to Bonte for the belfgian sugar waffles, which are amazing. However, their sandwiches are also great. The combintaions are very refreshing - who'd think roast beef with avacado would be so great! Although my favorite is the tuna on multigrain, delicious!

Great waffles.

Great waffles here...not like an ordinary waffle except for the shape. They are crispy outside, chewy outside, and are so sweet that syrup is not needed. They are baked to order with fillings mixed inside the waffles including strawberries, bananas (which carmelize nicely...), chocolate, and white chocolate chips in all of three minutes. Well worth trying and coming back for more!

I love waffles, and I especially love waffles that couple a slightly crispy outside and a flaky sweetness on the inside. The waffles at Bonte are quite delicious, especially with the additional fruit and or chocolate 'enhancements'. The La Columbe coffee is obviously delicious and this place is not to miss.

The waffles are AMAZING and the coffee is delicious. Everyone who works there was really nice too.

Belgian treats!

Bonte opened last fall, and I've been going there nearly every weekend ever since. The draw is the gauffre (or ""gofra""), which are delicious waffle-like treats that are a bit crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. They can be filled chocolate, walnuts, strawberries, or bananas. The croissants are also quite delicious as well, as are the coffee and espresso drinks.
