I took my wife here for our first anniversary and we both loved the place! The kitchen is open to the dining area, but wasn't too loud and it really made the whole resturant smell great. The menu is vegan and vegetarian freindly, plus there are plenty of choices for a meat eater like myself. All of the ingredients were fresh - including the pasta which is made daily. We cant' wait to go back!

I've been here 3 times. I was very enthusiastic after the first visit and left raving about the eggplant parm -- easily the best that I have ever had. But unfortunately, the second and third visits were not so good. Both times, the service was unbelievably slow. On a Saturday night, we arrived at 7 pm with reservations. We were seated immediately, but our main course was not served to us until 9 pm! I had the eggplant parm (again, it was very good), but one of my friends ordered a pasta dish that was so undercooked that she couldn't eat it. They deducted the price from the bill, but she went home hungry rather than wait for them to cook some more! The most recent visit was on a weekday and the service was very slow even though the restaurant was only half full. My dinner partner and I agreed that the food was good, but the long wait to be served was annoying. We probably won't return.

Ate at Bacio last week on a Tuesday night ...quiet night, I hear they are mobbed on the weekends and rightly so, judging this food! Although they were depleted of the lasagna I had been hoping for, I was not disappointed with the ravioli, made on the spot...these are not your tough, out-of-the-bag ravioli but the real deal...silken pasta that melts in your mouth and a sauce that is not, thankfully, sweet. My dining partner had the eggplant parmesan and was equally pleased. We started the meal with a very ample antipasto, and ended it with the crisp cannoli. This is a BYOB...total bill with tip was $46 for two...a very, very reasonable price for a fabulous (and filling) meal!

there are so many Italian restaurants that claim to be from the old world. I am just out of the navy and spent a lot of time in rome. bacio should say they are a modern italian restaurant, there main dinning room must have been inspired from the many cool roman restaurants. the red walls, open kitchen, black fax marble floors. really cool! the food is simple and good. the sauces are rich in herbs and natural flavors. I had the whole grilled rock fish in a black olive , cappors sauce, sooooo good! tim our waiter made us feel asthough we where vips. the only bad part is that bacio is located in mt. airy and I live in center city. my friends that live in mt airy are very fortunate they get to eat there when ever they want and they will see more of me.
