This is the latest IRS inspired scamming. I guess the notorious IRS phone scams must have worn out so now scammer are out there trying to be creative -- and trying new approach to scam. I got a letter from IRS and this comes from a Lady who pretends to be an employee from IRS, she uses similiar looking IRS forms and letters. The bait? she would begin by saying she had reviewed your tax records and believe you have discrepancy. She need you to contact her and provide information. Now what is odd is that towards the end of her letter, she will claim to be able to file on your behalf. The catch - you will be liable to pay her for doing so!!??? How stupid can that get? why would an IRS person file tax on your behalf and ask to be paid ASAP or you get in trouble??? She will give you 30 days to respond and you must provide info.Her name she claims to be -- MARY C. COX-PERKINSON, PHONE NUMBER PROVIDED (804) 916-8633 FAX (855) 389-1532. She use IRS Form 941. She also enclosed a return envelope with authentic IRS address. IRS Employee ID 2303-4703IF YOU READ THIS BEWARE OF THIS SUPER IRS SCAMMER.
