I would like to say big thank you to the owner of the store for being so lovely and honesty!!!!! I lost my phone at the cafe nearby but somehow people dropped off the phone at the grocery. So, I was trying to call my cell, n finally a lady picked up n told me someone left a cell phone there. I was so lucky to have such a honest person to return me my phone!!! Thank You!!!!
That woman must be a competitor from L.A. We have been coming since 1950 for 4 generations and their fresh kielbasa is made exactly the way our family made it in grandmom's basement on Ontario Street for Easter. At least 50 pounds worth. And grandpop grew the horseradish root and made his batch with eyes watering and all kinds of fans in the basement! This is a taste of home!!!
The best don't know where the review from the second one is going but I had a butcher make my son some hot sausage everyone goes nuts over this sausage never bad in maybe 10plus years.
Why do you think people would wait for 3 or more hours in the cold, it says something about the product. Some things in life are waiting for.
I have read reviews about this place and do NOT understand how anyone raves about the kielbasa. It's the worst kielbasa we have ever had. My husband and son threw their dinner in the trash and my niece said, it reminds her of the pickled sausages sold in low end stores, disgusting! The only positive thing I can say is, my cat liked it.
The worst place you could ever go!! I'm shocked that they are still open!! They sold me bad meats and when I asked for my money back the owner told me that I didn't purchase my food there then he suggested that I wash my food with cold water in order to get rid of the foul smell!!
The food was delicious however they obviously do not have good business practice. 3 hours I waited in the cold to buy pierogies. How can you possibly have only 2 people working in your store on a holiday weekend. If it was not for the fact that I was going out of town to visit my parents I would have NEVER given my business to Czerw's . Good business practices and common sense tells you the more people you have working in the store (not in the back)the more customers you can take care of therefore increasing profits and keep your customers coming back. My first and last visit has been made to Czerw's.
I used Schaaf's for my son's Christening party, the meatballs were homemade and delicious!!! The supplied the rolls and the gravy for the hot roast beef sandwiches and the meatballs! The price was reasonable and I will definitely be calling again for my next party!!! Now I don't have to be the one in the kitchen rolling all those meatballs!
