Good but expensive. Charge too much.

I have been to La Fourno a few times now, and each time I have received the most unbelievable service. Most recently we hosted a guest from out of …
Hand gloves should be used/changed, handling money and food.
I placed my order, waited for 3 hrs, kept calling the food never came. Never Again!!! The were rude, disrespectful, and never called and apologized.
Recently, we had a reservation for four people at 5:30 to celebrate a birthday that one of the others was hosting. The dinner was inedible for three of us. The 4th dinner appeared to be OK. The birthday girl ordered chicken tenders. When she tried to cut the chicken with the steak knife that had been provided before the meal appeared, the chicken was too tough to even be serrated by the steak knife. But the big thing I want to report is the Dinner Special of mahi mahi that two of us ordered. The mahi mahi looked mushy on the plate when it arrived. When I attempted to bring a fork full of the fish to my mouth, the fish odor was so disgusting and overwhelming. Nevertheless, I tried to eat it. But could not even force myself to swallow the foul smelling and fishy tasting mahi mahi.. I then proceeded to play with the food in my plate and not eat a morsel of it. Dinner for me then became bread and dessert. The other lady who ordered the mahi mahi asked for more putenesco sauce and drowned the fish with this which enabled her to force the fish down. I didn't say anything because the other lady attempted to eat the fish. I did not want to make a scene and embarrass our gracious hostess. The following day I asked the other diner who had the mahi mahi dinner if she enjoyed the fish. She said that it was foul and spent the whole next day sick from the fish. Fresh cooked fish does not look mushy nor smell and taste fishy.Fishy smell comes from bad/spoiled fish. I was lucky that I had not forced myself to eat it and also get sick.
We went here for restaurant week. I got to this restaurant before the people I was eating with so I went to the bar. They had a good happy hour, where I got a martini. It was strong and tasted good. There are outside and inside seats. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I had the fried egg plant and it was good. My entree was the gnocchi and it was a really big dish. I took half of it home so I could have room for dessert. The cannoli was really good! The other people I went with also raved about their dishes. If you park above the restaurant they will validate your parking.Definitely recommend this nice place.
I want to Thank Oteri's Bakery for a Job well done. My Wife 50th Birthday Cake was not only Beautiful, it was also Delicious. The cake was made on Saturday 6-25-16. Four Days later it's still as Fresh as it was when We first cut it... I would not only recommend Oteri's Bakery... I stand by their product... Trust (ME) you won't be disappointed...Mr Smith
I've eaten at about every steak shop in Philly. Shanks by far is the best I've had. The roast pork and chicken cheese steak are amazing . My new favorite spot.
I highly recommend this bakeryI love how they decorate cakes I had never seen such beautiful cakes as they do, my son love love love his birthday cake
Little Nonna"s - for an Italian restaurant to charge $2 for 4 pieces of grilled bread and $25 for less than a half carafe of what was probably a jug wine, I'll never ever patronize this place again. Everything was overpriced for what they gave you. Most Italian restaurants especially in South Philadelphia after you left you were completely full and took enough home for another meal at a very reasonable price.
My fourth time eating at Eatalia and it was another delicious meal. It is a small BYOB tucked away behind Port Richmond shopping center with a very unassuming appearance but don't let that fool you. Our server Shawn was very attentive couldn't have been more pleasant and all of our entrées were delicious. We all will definitely be back again.
