Personally, this place deserves 10 plus stars across the board. They are consistent, clean, personable and for the most part accommodating. Heads up for yall first timers.....They get busy on weekends and during concert/sporting events so:Reserve in advance. upon entering get a drink at the bar ( cash only) take it to your table when you get there. . I highly recommend their pizza, the antipasto, ribs and bbq sausage. You will add this place to your favorite places.

I worked there 3 1/2 years ago. Good peopke. Good environment. Delicious food. Come by and pay a visit.
Plan early. This is not a last min place unless your lucky. Food and drinks are decent as well. Not a place for big groups like more than 4. Overall a cool places to go have dinner.

This is a nice venue! One of the nicest in philly! This place doesn't discriminate nor cater to one specific crowd. Each event is different and I like that the crowd depends on the event and who's hosting it. They have baby showers, kids parties, they even stay open after hours on weekends! I've attended both public and private events here over the last few years and I love it here now more than ever. The current manager Tay introduced herself to me and I find her to be friendly and more down to earth.
I remember the place being a dive bar for punk hardcore shows. It has revamped and the menu is yummy down home greasy southern fare. The fries with bacon gravy is the best. Good beer menu. Upstairs they do shows and downstairs is the sit down restaurant.
A+ on food and service!!!!
Great food at really good prices! The first time I went to Mc Manamin's Tavern was when I was working across the street at a gallery that was freezing in the winter. This was before Germantown Avenue was chic like it is now! I had the chili there, and I swear it was the best chili I had ever had! SInce then, I've been there so many times because the food is always on point. The fries are delicious, when they have fish, it's fresh and not at all prepared like a bar. It's just a nice, neighborhood place that you could take a date (if you were so inclined), or go to with your peeps and watch a game!
You are at Cheers as it was when Ted Danson was bartender on TV. Now it's even batter! Stop in.
This place is one of the all time greatest places for a fabulous sandwich and cold pint. If ever you are in Chestnut Hill do not leave without visiting this Institution of Pub Fare. The Schmitter, Tobias, and Dickens are original sandwiches. Don't forget homemade soup. They treat you like family. Can't miss!
