I went to a graduation party this weekend at Estia. It was the first time I was ever there although I have heard great things about it. The party was held in the banquet room which I was totally impressed by, the exposed wood ceiling beams and limestone bar where breath taking and gave it that antique effect. My sister is getting married soon and my mother and I have been talking about a place for her bridal shower, after trying the food at Estia I was completely sold and actually booked the party this morning! The woman I spoke with was so helpful and provided me with all the information I needed and offered a variety of options, at the end of the phone call I was blown away by the price for everything that I asked for it. All my future parties and get-togethers are going to be at Estia, I recommend them to everyone!
I love this place! Authentic greek food! BYOB! A total philly experiance, little cramped, but comfortable homey feeling...great for any occassions, a night with friends, a date, family visiting from out of town, really a place to go if you plan to spend some quality time! However plan to walk- parking is simply not good in that area! But worth the stroll! p.s. They have a dish with bacon, pasta and spinach! oh my word! You will never be able to finish the dish, but you will certainly want to try! DELICIOUS!
Mercato is one of my default place to go to when guest are in town or i just want a good meal. I had have everything on their menu before, and I must honestly say that I haven't come across something I don't like. Yes, the service can sometime be hit or miss, so is the hostess. But the food is what keep me from coming back. Seriously, give it a try, you will not be disappoint!
You have to go. The food invites you at the door. The decor is lovely and when I had the food. Me and my husband knew we were coming back. Everything we had was good. Our waiter recommended such wonderful choices and even me a picky eater tried and enjoyed everything I had and what my hubby had. It was an all around great experience and I recommend that you try it.
Superb! I had dinner with friends at Estia before a concert at the Academy of Music. Unlike many of the Center City restaurant’s near the theaters, this is not a tourist trap. The food was sublime and the ambience lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I just ate there today, and it was fabulous (as always). The best item on the menu is the octopus for an appetizer. It is very tender and delicious. The fish of the day is generally the best bet for the main course. The service is always great!
This is my favorite Philly restaurant. The best bet is to go there for lunch and have the fish special. The roasted veggies that come with the fish are excellent. Make sure to get the octopus as an appetizer.
BEST FOOD,BEST AMBIENCE AND FINEST WAITERS---I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR OVER 5 YRS---IF YOU DON'T LIKE THIS PLACE--HAVE YOUR HEAD EXAMINED---DANIEL R. DEL BAGNO---KENDALL PARK,NJ.
I am unfamiliar with Mediterranean food; this food was great! The atmosphere was really neat too. Great addition to Baltimore ave.
best greek place in eastern PA by far. Estia chips is all I have to say about that. Their apps are so addicting its scary
