Some duties performed by Peru City Clerk-Treasurer include auditing the accounts of Peru, Ind., submitting a report at the end of each fiscal year and prescribing the form of reports and accounts to be submitted to the department. The clerk-treasurer s office also inspects and revises the accounts of all the other departments; prescribes the manner in which creditors, officers and employees will be paid; signs and issues all orders for money upon the city treasury; retains charge of all books in the department; inspects and pays, or refuses to pay, all warrants presented; issues all city licenses; and collects fees due to the city by fixed ordinances.
