Found Alpine Lumber (AL) on craigslist. They harvest pines from smaller lots at no charge to the landowner and sell them to local sawmills. AL assured me that upon completion the property will be cleaned up, raked and will "look good". Most tree tops and cankered trunks that were indeed collected into about 12 piles. Some of them were not. Many piles are positioned very closely to live trees and, therefore, cannot be burned. The ruts left by equipment were only partially raked - about 50% were not and some are so deep that I can comfortably bury a pet in them. The cherry on top of this cake was AL refusing to put together the fence that they took apart to access the property. Moreover, many remaining trees were damaged in the process - large chunks of bark missing - now they are prone to beetle damage. At the end of the day, the property will require a massive clean up and quite a bit of grading. On a more positive note, the second equipment operator was a very nice guy.
