Total waste of money with this company.

They went home while my problem still exists.

My plumbing issues were resolved by this company. Please disregard my recent comments . I did not give them adequate time to resolve my issues. Readings and Son are professional and knowledgeable when it comes to your plumbing concerns. I would recommend them for all your plumbing needs in the Peoria area.

We have used Reading on several occasions. They were the plumbers that worked with the builder when our subdivision was built. We continued to utilize this business with replacement of water heaters, installment of water softners and a Radon unit. We have been customers since 2002. Lately their work and equipment has been below average and faulty. I have had two floods from a leaking water softners . I may need to send them a bill for mold cleanup in my basement. Their prices for equipment and labor are not cheap and with the recent decline in quality of their work and equipment, I would suggest you look else where for a plumber.

Reading's plumbers have taken care of major plumbing work (repairs and renovations) at my house, my rental house, and my in-laws home for the past 20+ years. Their work is excellent, and fees are reasonable. I highly recommend them! Jim Reading is honest, straightforward and makes recommendations that are practical and cost-effective, without sacrificing quality. Good people!

Scheduled an appointment to get a estimate for work. Never showed or called 2 days later.

The plumber they sent out was excellent! Very knowledgeable and nice. They don't show up when they say they will however. 2:30pm is not even close to 9:30 am. And they didn't even call to let me know that they were running behind. It isn't the plumbers fault, it is scheduling! He is a thought, maybe they should schedule fewer jobs per day, or hire more help!!! This has happened a couple of times and I don't know if they will continue to get my business!

Never got a chance to use as they cancelled a set appointment after I took a day of of work to meet with them. Will not recommend - their loss.

Professional while on the job, when it comes time to collect they fall short. Within the last year, they had done work and received immediate payment on well over $6,000 worth of plumbing. Then, I had an issue that began with a ‘rough’ estimate of $400-800. Well it turns out that it was a much bigger and the total ended up being over $6,000. I don’t have $6,000 in my back pocket so I made arrangements with Jim himself to make payment IN FULL within 45 days. After less than 3 weeks, I began receiving calls almost every few days wanting to know when I would be paying. It was said that they couldn’t afford to ‘bankroll’ their clients and if I didn’t pay soon they would begin charging interest. Horrible service after the job is done. They are obviously not concerned about repeat business even from someone in a family rental business with nine units. Gladly will be taking my business elsewhere and I suggest you do too.

I had Reading & Sons install a Sump pump, and extend some gutter work, plus tie in two sump pumps & drain underground. They were prompt and courteous. I would recomend them highly.
