AutoZone Auto Parts

Last week I telephoned this store with Fel Pro gasket part number. Yesterday I went in to purchase this same item. I gave the clerk the part number and specified it was a Fel Pro part number 3 times. He persisted in not using the "Fel Pro" part of the stock number which brought up dozens of unrelated parts on the computer. After 10 minutes with the clerk and no part, and my repeated instruction of the item, he called the Manager in Training. I gave him the same information, he produced the item within 2 minutes. Clearly the clerk was not trained properly and his arrogance kept the clerk from asking for help.

I have been in the automotive repair business 45 years and have noticed the parts clerks have grown to rely strictly on computers; they obviously have not been technicians and never actually worked on vehicles.
