It is rare that I use a Professional to work on my vehicles, rarer yet that I entirely trust what they are telling me. Divinity is an exception. If you own a Toyota or Lexus you should give them a look. The first thing I noticed was the spotless repair shop, rare in independent shops. As I spoke to Ralph, the owner, it became clear that I was dealing with an intelligent and articulate gentleman. Most surprisingly was Ralph telling me I did not need some of the preventative services that I was requesting such as a brake fluid and transfer case fluid change, that he would check them instead and only service if needed. I finally said, "I'm trying to give you money here and you are turning it down!" That was probably 8 years ago and that pattern has continued, great service that has kept our Tacoma running flawlessly, without unnecessary costs. Once, an aftermarket belt that they had installed developed a flaw. It would have been easy for them to say the belt was under warranty but I would be responsible for the labor, a common occurrence. But no, repairs at no charge. Another time when my check engine light came on the diagnostic computer indicated a relatively expensive part needed replacing. I'm quite sure that another repair shop would have replaced the part but Ralph refused to believe that this failure had occurred at such a low mileage and just reset the service light. Ultimately the problem returned and the part was faulty, but I was given a chance to avoid the repair. Thus when Ralph or Angel tell me the vehicle needs something, I trust them.
My husband and I have both had a great experience with Vargas Auto Service. We took his car in last year for an engine replacement and they did a great job on his car. This year we took an Acura MDX in because it was shutting off with the cold. The check engine light was indicating a misfire with the coils so they replaced them, but the care was still shutting off with the cold. I called them to let them know and scheduled some time to bring the car back in, however, I wasn't able to make it in when I said I would. I was really impressed because they called me to follow up and find out when I would be bringing the car back in. When I brought the car back in they did fix the issue and did not charge us anything more. This may not be the case for everyone but I do believe they are fair. They are honest mechanics with great customer service. Also, I like that they are organized. They have a computer system in place that stores what they've done for you along with your info. This makes it easy to work with them because you don't have to remind them what they've done for you and give them your info again every time you come in. I highly recommend them!
My salesman, Jake Wade, was nice enough, but started 'negotiations' at $2200 above the price advertised online. Once I pointed this out, he quickly backtracked when there was 'no way' he could go down on price before. I secured my own financing for the vehicle, and requested that they not run any inquiries on my credit report. The next day, I woke up with 9 new inquiries on my report from various auto finance companies, and they have done NOTHING to help remove/reverse these unauthorized credit inquiries. I also traded in my previous Honda, and two weeks later the credit union (also in Utah) hasn't received a payoff check despite me hearing 'the check was mailed four days ago' multiple times. However, they were very quick to cash the check I gave them for the new car. While signing the final paperwork, I overheard two salepeople talking about a customer that just left. They called him a "f**king idiot" for not knowing the exact mileage on his tradein. The Acura is nice, but I've never had a worse buying experience. I'll definitely go elsewhere when I'm in the market for a new car.
These guys really helped me out on my trip out West. I was having car troubles. The guys down the street Clark's told me it was a bad water pump after having the car for about five hours and told me it was going to cost 1200 dollars to fix. I took it over to Chuck's and he showed me it was a leak it in the overflow tank had it fixed in less than an hour for 100 dollars. Not only that, they helped me with my rear brake calipers and charged a very reasonable price. Hopefully, they keep this kind of service going! It seems common that people will take advantage of a traveler from out of town, but these guys were really down to earth and seemed to care. The people who came in, the regulars, also seemed to be really swell people and all were in the family. So, from Michael at the monastery, a big big thanks!
I recently bought a car at Mike Hale Acura and took it in to their service department for pulsating brakes. Andy (the service manager) went above and beyond to ensure outstanding service and care. Andy had the capacity to understand my frustration and provide quick solutions all with a friendly/warm demeanor. He even took the time to personally show me cool tips and tricks inside the vehicle. When asked for a shuttle ride, he provided a nice loaner vehicle for the night. In short, even after a somewhat disappointing experience with the sales dept, Mike Hale Acura's service team (specifically Andy) redeemed Mike Hale's reputation in my book!
These guys are amazing!! I have had an intermittent problem with my car where it wouldnt start. The dealer replaced the computer, the fuse block, the battery, and the alternator. Luckily, all of those parts were under warranty. Didn'tactually fix the problem. The guys at MasterTech took the time and figured out that it was an issue with the negative battery cable. I appreciate the time they took to solve the problem instead of just throwing parts at it. They are honest and I will be taking my car there from now on! The staff is amazing and so friendly and helpful and know how to take care of their customers. I highly recommend this shop!
I have been taking my vehicles here for a few years for minor things like leaks, brakes, and registration renewal and I have never had a issue. The other day I went in with a engine misfire and I was expecting the worst $$. I got a call that same night and was told the problem is a simple fix and about $50 later I was on my way. Part of my job is inspecting vehicles and negotiating repairs. I have spoken with the owner several times regarding labor rates and labor times, never on a professional level, only as a customer and I can say this shop is fair and honest. I have and will continue to recommend Vargas to my friends and family.
SUPPORT THE "GOOD GUY!!!' On time, very polite and caring driver. Reasonable price. We should use this company because they do NOT contract with commercial private property entities. Other companies do this, and it turns out to be a big money mill for them, and it's wrong. Not Jardine. Jardine does not contract with companies that automatically tow your car without notifying you. They use ethical, moral, and legal practices in their business dealings. Please, please, please use these guys over the other towing companies out there. There are so many scumbags, that we MUST support the "Good Guys," for our own sake.
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Wade Auto Group. Everyone at the location is honest, straight forward, helpful, and easy to talk with. We had talked with other groups and did not feel comfortable with them like we did at Wade Auto Group. Van BROKE DOWN after THREE MONTHS of owning it. Plus, when we purchase it we asked them to fix the sensor in the dash board and they did and failed again after a month. I just use the van to take my kids to the park so is not like I was racing it or doing much with it. The customer service was great but I don't know where they get their cars that they break down after 3 months of purchasing it. Perhaps they have a bad mechanic and they don't know it but we couldn't even go talk to them because we moved out of town. Bring a mechanic you trust with you or skip buying here.
