Overall

This is about the other review, from micky the owner of key marine. If you read what you wrote all your saying is that you did not think you should have to pay for our time and efforts, how can we stay in buisiness doing that, also on the boat you purchased, it was a boat that was sitting on the side of the roat that you bought, i did not sell it to you and you did not pay for a survay so how do we know its due for a service, we done a repair dfor the seller about 6 months prior but how is it our responsibility to keep up with your boat when you have not ever paid us to work on it. If you had called and ask should we service are boat im sure we would have told you it should be done if you had no record of when it was done from the prior owner. Its wrong to blame someone for your own stupidity.

Overall

Very disappointed! Over the last 4 years I have purchased a new boat motor from Key Marine plus they have done all my service work. The crazy rain storm we had did considerable damage to my boat. My insurance adjuster asked me to take my boat in for an estimate. The day after I delivered my damaged boat my adjuster did his own assessment and the repairs were more than value. My boat was totaled. Key Marine charged me $190 for the partial estimate. I asked Mickey the owner for lenience on the charge since I was a long standing client. He refused and I payed the bill. Mickey told me of a pontoon for sale that he had serviced in Feb,.just 3 month earlier. I contacted the owner and the pontoon was taken to Key Marine to be checked out. He said the motor check out fine. No guarantee but it looked to be a good motor. I have had the pontoon for 3 weeks and the engine blew up. After we were towed in, we checked the engine the oil was extremely bad. How could he have done service on this boat and not seen the oil needed changing. If he had not serviced and check this engine we would have had it done yourself before purchasing the boat. I am looking at a new motor for my boat, around $7K. But it will not be from Key Marine!
