Renee is the most disrespectful, unprofessional, unethical, rude, etc. businesses owner I have EVER encountered. To start, very friendly on first visit (how she gets you) She spoke highly of herself, stated several times that she PERSONALLY makes these dresses, I tell you this b/c of what happened later. After leaving her shop the day I signed the contact(Jan) she said she would be in contact, etc-5-6-17wedding day_Approx. April 12th, I contacted the store,I had heard NOTHING from there since Jan, to check on the status.no one answered,I called Renee's cell-no answer. Left messages-no return call. 2 days later and an assistant answered, informed me the dress was not in yet, they did not know when it would be in,Renee was out of office, they would call me back when they researched things?!About 20 days before wedding.Never got a call back!!-Few days later i got in contact with Renee-she informed me she doesn't know why they said they'd call me back because they don't call clients back-OK?! She informed me the dress wasn't in but she'd check on the status, she would be out of town for 6 weeks-which means-she would not be making my dress, as the dress was not here 20 days before the wedding/she was out of town for 6 wks.-I questioned her, she told me her personal life was not my business. As a client,if you claim to make your dresses,I'm paying more for that service then yes, it's my business (my opinion) I went to try on the unfinished product, she of course was not there, we had to have her on speaker phone during my fitting. Her assistants were told not to speak to us or answer any questions that we asked.I asked to meet with her face2face, she said it wasn't possible nor necessary. She stated to me that in her contract it doesnt state she has to communicate with me, it says to make a dress. I can't make this up!! I have not seen her-the business owner-person who claims to have made my dress-since Jan when I signed the contact. She is a con-artist and sadly is proud of it!
A vintage dress has the heart of a family attached to it. When you are looking for someone to alter/update it they have to be as special as the dress. Look no further because Ruthy is that person! Her talent, care, love, and attention to detail is unmatched!
I checked the website for dresses I liked and went in the next day for my appointment. I got there about an hour early to have time to browse. Half an hour before my appointment, my stylist Katie and another stylist Mackenzie came to help me pick out and try on different styles, including the one I really liked from their site. Several employees help me try on the dresses and one stylist helped me accessorize with belts, veils, and hair pieces. They were so helpful and encouraging, and I easily picked out my dress!! It was during the week (which is when I recommend you go because it wasn't busy and I had extra attention from staff!!) and everyone somewhat participated in my shopping! Everyone was so ridiculously sweet and helpful.
A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCEI don't even know where to begin. Perhaps the sloppy, half assed job? Her dirty floor/carpet with pins all over it? Maybe after a month of having mine and my sisters dresses, she still hadn't finished it? And then giving me a lame excuse as to why? She didn't even call to tell us that they weren't ready! She even wanted us to pay the total balance upfront. Ruthy was defensive to every question I asked her about the work that she had done. She said that since my sisters dress was "off the rack", there wasn't anything she could do with it. Apparently her motto for alterations is "It doesn't matter how much you paid for your dress, what name brand it is, or how beautiful it is on the hanger...if it doesn't fit you impeccably, you wasted your money!" That is bullshit. If it's off the rack, don't bother. I won't be taking anything else to Ruthy's. This woman is unskilled and/or cannot handle her workload, is downright rude and knows nothing of customer service. She kept saying that she didn't have time to fix any of the many things that were wrong with my sisters wedding dress that originally she said she would do. She even broke my garment bag and didn't replace it. After maybe 10 minutes of a very rushed final fitting, my sister expressed her dissatisfaction in which Ruthy said that she would take in the sides and the bust free of an extra charge (even though she already charged for it) if my sister would give her a 5 star review. I would give her zero stars because "Eek! Methinks not" doesn't cover my feelings towards this business. I feel like "Run away screaming" is more appropriate. Please do yourself a favor next time you want something altered and go somewhere else. It's not worth the nightmare. You do not need this extra stress with a wedding around the corner.
Because there is not a zero star rating. Have you ever seen what a final fitting is suppose to look like? The bride smiling and excited with anticipation about the up and coming event! Champagne and mimosas, laughter and whimsy! A cherish-able event leading to the wedding day itself?! Oh how sweet it is!! Just not here. My fiance in trembling tears, her sister is complete shock and awe of "did that really just happen??" My nine year old daughter upset because the dress lady was talking so mean to them. Completely and utterly unprofessional. She degraded my future bride stating that it was her fault that the dress didn't fit because she lost weight, yeah, in a month? no one person can lose 3 inches, anywhere on their bodies, in a single month without trying. Please do not ask questions about her work during final fitting because she will become all defensive and blame YOU for being nit-picky, I believe that is the word she used. Heaven forbid you are marrying on a budget and have to by off a rack, those kinds of dresses are just impossible to get to fit properly...So we were not satisfied, and the wedding is in a week, she doesn't have time to do her job now. That's okay, will the deposit be refunded so you can take your business elsewhere? NO! and by the way, if you don't pay for the balance remaining, she will hold your dress for ransom to guarantee that you won't be getting married, in that dress anyways. She makes sure she gets every penny! Now we can't afford a fix, and my beautiful bride to be's dreams of walking down the isle wearing a nice dress is gone. Thanks for nothing but heartbreak!!
I came in today not sure what I was looking for and the girls at the Bridal Suite helped me find the perfect dress for my country chic wedding! I am so excited about my dress and finding this amazing shop! The customer service was beyond anything I had experienced at any other bridal shop in the area. They really listened to what I had imagined and knew exactly what dresses they wanted me to try. I also picked out a few styles but the ones they choose were better. Actually every dress they had was beautiful. Their selection of wedding dresses were all great making it even harder to pick just one. The girls at the Bridal Suite made everything so easy that I was also able to pick out my bridesmaid dresses and tuxes next door at Gents. I went home today feeling so accomplished and I would recommend The Bridal Suite to anyone planning a wedding! I don't see how it would be possible for anyone to have a bad experience here unless you are a complete Bridezilla! They are amazing!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! These people are CROOKS! They will say anything to get your money. Over the summer, I flew from the Midwest to Florida to get my dress. They promised me I would receive my dress at the very beginning of September. I received my dress in October. I'm getting married at the beginning of November. This is a huge problem because they sent the wrong color, and now there is no time for them to fix the situation. They literally said there wasn't anything they could do. They wouldn't even give a partial refund. We now have to spend over $1000 to change most of the wedding essentials such as shoes, veil, grooms tux, etc to match the new color. I paid several hundred dollars for custom fitting. When I received my dress, it was so big that the top couldn't stay up on its own, amongst other problems. They said that was normal. How is that normal?? I understand that minor adjustments may have been necessary, but the second seamstress (who has over 30 years experience) was in complete shock. She said it was one of the worst sizings she has ever witnessed. We tried contacting The Bridal Suite for weeks, and they called us liars, saying they never received any phone calls. It was always the same story: "the manager is in a meeting, so we'll call back". When we finally got a hold of them, they called me a liar, saying I didn't know what I was talking about. I took pictures of the dress at their store proving the color I wanted. They said they never had the color of the dress I wanted EVEN THOUGH THEIR WEBSITE SAID IT WAS AVAILABLE! They belittled me over the phone, and made me feel like I was doing something wrong. As the bride, I'm devastated. My wedding is supposed to be the best day of my life, and instead I have to make due with something I didn't want. It's a nightmare. From a bride's heart to all the other brides out there, you deserve better. Please, please, please don't compromise your dream. You will regret this decision. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!! I will post reviews with photos on other websites.
Absolutely HORRIBLE! First, they attempted to convince me to purchase a dress off the floor that was two sizes too small! Plus, it was damaged (ripped strap) and had a large stain! But not to worry! They could fix it IF I got my alterations done at the store. (and of course I'd need major alterations... the dress wouldn't even zip!) When I refused the damaged dress, they ordered me the wrong dress entirely! When I noticed, I called to check on it and Stephany LIED to the manager and said the mistake was MY fault because I couldn't decide! Actually, of the five dresses I tried on, there was only ONE that I liked. Plus the dress she ordered wasn't even one I tried on at all! Corporate is no better... I've been waiting on a call back for over a week! When I called again today... guess what!? They couldn't find my order at all, until I said never mind, I would just contest the charges to my credit card. Then magically, they found my order. This is the very short version of the nightmare that David's Bridal has caused! STAY AWAY!!!
I had a wonderful experience buying my wedding dress today in Pensacola. Jessica helped me promptly after I signed in for my 9:30am appt. On a Saturday. She was very helpful in helping me keep within my very low budget of est. $200. Had I gone by the reviews I would never have walked in there, luckily I did and had an awesome experience. I would recommend making an appt. Online to avoid wait time. So happy I went in there, had my perfect dress within an hour!
Ruthy is such an amazing modist, seamstress and person! I had just moved to Pensacola from Spain, and my wedding was 3 months away. My dress belonged to my cousin, it is a 13 year old beautiful but extremely delicate traditional gown, so I was terrified to take it anywhere to be altered and fitted since I was new in town (also, I had a very specific idea on how I wanted the dress to be altered. My grandmother is an incredible seamstress, and I've been lucky enough to learn from her, so I was afraid I wasn't going to find the quality I was looking for). I found Ruthy through the internet and after a very good recommendation by a bridal shop, I took my dress to her. It was immediately evident how friendly and professional Ruthy was, and she showed her talent and creativity when altering my dress. I looked exactly the way I wanted on my wedding day! I wish I could upload a picture of my wedding dress to show what amazing work she did, and what a piece of work it was. Just imagine 13-year-old, frail mesh grounded lace long sleeves! I cannot describe the amazing work she did, and all under 3 months! I would recommend Ruthy to anyone looking for high quality work and fun fun time. She is the best!
