Pelham Middle School is a public school that provides academic education and extracurricular opportunities to students in grades six through eight. The school is located in Pelham, N.Y., and enrolls more than 550 students. The school s curriculum includes English, math, foreign languages, science, social studies, algebra, American history and civics. It also offers physical, special and technology education. Additionally, the school offers courses in the constitution, advanced mathematics, geography and computer applications. Pelham Middle School has a library that provides a large collection of curriculum books, novels, referral sources and access to the Internet. Additionally, the school organizes various extracurricular activities, such as music, dance, science fairs and field trips. It also offers student clubs and has a gymnasium. It emphasizes on enrichment activities, interdisciplinary learning, reading, writing and communication skills. It also addresses the physical and emotional needs of children. Northeast Middle School also offers various sports activities, including basketball, baseball, football and tennis. The middle school was established in 1988, and is a part of the Pelham Union Free School District.
