This new sports bar is a bit hidden but worth the find. Bring some friends with you because you'll want to stay a while. A bartender named Yamil from Puerto Rico was friendly and knew his Spurs facts...good conversationalist and also an active duty Army Staff Sargent. The place is exceptionally clean and one of only a few that I've found here in San Antonio with a choice of draft beers on the cheap. They also carry your favorite mixed drinks. It's not a dive bar. They have live music and a bar menu that carries somewhat of a version of the Philly Cheese Steak and burgers. The owner named Dana makes sure everyone is on point for service. The bar features a few flat screens along with a huge screen to watch your favorite games. I highly recommend this bar although not five star but not far..who knows after this weekends updates.
1. The Trap
The Trap is a place for friends. When you walk in you are obviously noticed and welcomed. They have great live music regularly and a great pool table area. The Trap is not for a younger crowd, but is definately appreciated by the older crowd. The juke box is filled with old time Hank Williams Jr…
BABCOCK RdSan Antonio, TX 78229
From Business: Back in 1938, a guy named Coach decided he wanted to open a bar. He wanted his bar to feature the coldest beer in town and he wanted it served by friendly, beautiful girls from Texas. If his customers could get that plus a place to watch the game, hang out with good friends and sit outside on a nice deck, hed be a real hap…
Serving the San Antonio Area.
13. Friendz Bar
This bar has the right feel about it, the second my wife and I walked in we felt like we had been going there 4ever, they just had thier 1yr anniversary and we hope they have many more, by the way this is "ROCK" from Tomate's
Wow! I just had lunch at La Tuna and it was great! I had the Chicken Sandwich. There was 4 in our party and we all enjoyed our selections very much. The food was hot, fresh and full of flavor. Looking at the other diners' dishes, I'd have to say everything looked great. The portions were generous. The service was wonderful as well. We had a great lunch and will definitely be back to try out some other dishes. It does get a little crowded at lunchtime, but we got there just before the crowd came in. There is not too much seating indoors, but there are plenty of tables outside in the shade of the pecan trees. Even at a little less than 100 degrees, people outside seemed to enjoy themselves. The shade of the trees really helped making it tolerable.
This nightclub really sets apart from all of the others. It really has such an amazing atmosphere, it is clean, fun, and really nice. We went on a Saturday night. It was a late crowd but man it got packed. The door guy was really nice. We sat on the patio and smoked and he talked to us. He also enforced the dress code which was nice to see. He was very professional about it too. The bartender was hot. She was really accomodating and worked really fast. I hate when I go to bars and no one is husseling to get drinks out. Here it was different. All of the employees were working hard with still being friendly. Drinks were really good. The bartender suggested a cucumber drink that had a chili rim and it was delicious. We found our Saturday night spot for sure.
Beautiful nightclub, the decor is unlike anywhere in San Antonio. As we arrived the door guy was turning away some people who werent dressed right which was reassuring. We arrived around 10 and quickly realized it is a late crowd. So if you are an early bird like us, just hang out and wait because it will get crowded around 11:30. The cocktails were really good too, very inexpensive. We had about 8 drinks all premium (Greygoose-Shiner-Crown-Shots of Patron) and the tab with tax was about only $25. A lot of the tables were reserved for VIP Bottle Service which looked super cool because the bottles were delivered with a sparkler. We had so much fun that we are going to have my friends birthday party there next month.
I love it here! They have live bands almost every weekend and a great DJ! The drink prices are great and the atmosphere is wonderful! They also have one of the best Margaritas I have ever tasted! If you like Tejano music or just love to dance, this is the place to be! I also love going on weds nights for karaoke night... I have a blast...not to mention $1 beer from 9pm-11pm. The owner is are so nice and friendly. She always makes us feel comfortable. There has never been any altercations when I have gone, so that makes me feel safe as well. The door guys is super sweet as well. I like that we walks the parking lot and keeps an eye on peoples vehicles. This place is now my go to place every weekend!
I went here for lunch. I had the La Tuna Trio. (mini burgers) They were very good. I got 1 each of the three available flavors. My 3 friends all enjoyed their meals also. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. There is limited seating inside but plenty outside. So, go early or be prepared for the current weather conditions. It seemed it took just a little long to have the food come out but not so long that it was a problem. The order counter was in a hallway between two rooms. Not the best place when there is a line to order.I will go back.
I find myself being being an extremly picky person when it comes to bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. I have experienced some of the best and worst places not only in SA but in all around the US. Ivory has made it to the top of my list, especially for San Antonio. I went on a Saturday night and the whole experience was FABULOUS. The DJ played a good variety of music, the drinks were inexpensive because they had several specials, and the service was great. I was impressed with how clean everything was since it was all white.
We had my Birthday party at Ivory and it was packed, it got busy kinda late. The bottle came out with a giant sparkler which was super cool and the DJ gave me a shout out for my BDAY several times. The drinks were really cheap which was a plus for my guests. Everyone in our party really had a great time. The crowd (Mexican and white) was dressed really nice and the music was spot on. The location was a little tucked away in a shopping center on Fredericksburg, but they had plenty of parking. I wish I found this place sooner.
We love this place..we go at least once a month..I think if it was a bad or horrible place to eat at.,then ppl wouldn't have to wait like for 30/45 mins to be sitted.. (always packed) ....We also liked that it was my daughters Bday and the Mariachi song a song for her at our table.."that was so Awsome for my 10 yr old daughter" and they brought her some dessert for free....prices are fair and kids meals are bigger than any other place that we've been at..I highly recomend this Restaurant.
We had such a wonderful time at Ivory Lounge. It is more of a Nightclub rather than a Lounge. The DJ played a variety of music which was nice because we LOVE to dance. My tab was cheap too, 1 Vegas Bomb, 1 Appletini, 1 of their famous Strawberry Kiwi drinks, and 2 Jager Bombs (for my friends) and it was $15. You can't beat that. I have been to many places in this town but this one is my new favorite. Also, it is really clean. The bathroom was impeccable. Doesn't smell like a bar at all.
