20. Taqueria Arandas
It doesn't matter if you're looking for fast Mexican style food or really authentic, large portions of Mexican cuisine, I have never been disappointed with my choice in going to the extra trouble of traveling through the highway construction to eat at this restaurant.

It is a chain and therefore the food is average with others in the same chain. There is no excitement. The giant TV screens at every angle take away from having good conversations with your eating buddies. The last 4 times I was there, I have had to wait 35 minutes for fajitas. The $.99 drin…

Horrible service drinks where tasteless and they still had the nerves to contradict us saying "that's weird it was just made last night", the food is not good it's a Mexican restaurant and the food tastes nothing Mexican the prices are extremely and exaggerating high for the quality of the food and service ... This is not a friendly atmosphere and the Hispanic waitress is awful I do not recommend this place to no one
I order from here all the time and have been in to eat several times. I think the food and the people are great!
Drove past the restaurant 8/18/15 and it is now closed.
My boyfriend and I went in a couple of weeks back. We had a 10 dollar off coupon. They gave us the discount, but to our surprise, later that day they went back and charged another 10 dollars to our card without our knowledge. To make matters worse, we ended up throwing out half the food because it was so awful. My shrimp quesadilla was nothing but shrimp and a half pound of yellow cheese. It was the greasiest mess I've ever tried to eat. I ended up just picking out the shrimp and throwing away the rest. I will be contacting the owner tomorrow. Beware, they will charge your credit card without your permission.
my husband and I went to Lone Star Taco last week around 7pm - when we arrived everything seemed fine, place is clean, the look is unique. But as we waited for our food I started to notice the place was being run by a group of immature teenagers. Let me explain - while the food was being prepared in the back whoever was dinging the bell to let them know the food was ready, kept ringing it over and over again obnoxiously as to be funny. The restaurant was full of guest and it was clear there wasn't any food waiting, yet they kept doing it. Even the two teenage boys working there were telling whoever was doing it to stop. It took all that I had not to say something. As we continued to wait for our food (tacos came out before our appetizer of queso), there was a girl sitting at the counter who appeared to be a girlfriend of one of the teenagers. She was acting obnoxious as well. When one of the teenage boys was putting the paper into the food baskets and stacking them to prepare for service, the girl kept knocking the baskets on the floor. If that wasn't bad enough the boy just picked them up and continued stacking them as though they hadn't just been on the floor and food was about to go in them that guest are going to eat out of!! At this point I had had enough so we quickly ate our food and left. The food itself was good. It is a shame that the food being so good, the place will never last unless the owner does something about the service!!
My plate looked like they weighed it I ordered the fajitas and got such a small plate that I wanted to return it but I didn't then I tasted it and it was horrible
Must try the sour cream chicken enchilades. it is one of the only Mexican joints where you actually enjoy the rice. Been eating there for almost 20 yrs and never had a bad meal yet.
Food is good, but the service is LESS THAN POOR. We were there this past weekend, and racism as well as racial profiling has hit an all time high!!! They were shocked when they found out that we were African American Professionals, and Business owners.
